. With this performance, the range will be around 75-80kms.

what i like the most about these kind of vehicles is the potential to travel for nearly free via solar charging or windcharger charging that is my biggest interest not so mucht is it clean for the envirement although that will also be a result my main concern has to do with my cost more than anything else and this technology can be applied to cars vans trucks etc the reign of big oil is maybe coming to a end some day

Nice little scooter mate. I suppose Zero emissions would not quite be accurate, as the power to recarge it still polouts unless the power comes from a green source such as hydro electric dams, wind, solar ect. These are such great little errand runners I'd ride one. I am thinking about building an E-bike myself with twin 1500 watt motors driving my rear derailer. It should also so a good solid 80kmph. I'm gonna run 55 lbs of batteries in hopes of gettinf 100 km range at 50 kmph speed. Cheers, IC

Its sad that some people moan about them been quiet........Its the amount of background road noise that 'helps' pedestrians walk in front of cars/trucks. We are desensitised to noise in our cities. Most car drivers have their radios/cds etc playing so it doesnt matter how loud a scooter is they dont know its there until too late. Great! many people in the city could use this and the Tesla road car and ZAPP cars are good enough for maybe 95% the population day to day driving. Not many people travel more than 200km per day to and from work and that range is easily done with current electric cars.

The Tesla goes 250miles/400km on a charge! zero to 62mph in 4.6 secs.

Last I checked, electricity is the cleanest resource available to everyone. I'm pretty certain your car is about 10000 times less efficient than even a very old power plant in regards to polution per energy produced.

It moves only a small part, the lighter more efficient electric drive train saves a lot of power.

1 horse power is 746 watts making this a 4 horsepower bike! and yet it can probably perform the same as maybe a 15 horsepower petrol.

Plus the waste heat in petrol is huge! a 4 stroke on average is only 36% efficient!

So a 15 hp petrol is using almost 3 times that power in fuel.

High efficiency electric motors are now over 90% efficient! Lighter motor means a lighter chassis to cary it too!

Our prices in the US are going up and even now, there is 30% - 50% less recreational driving. Time for electric I say!!! Public transport, bikes as much as possible. However much more of us in this country are dependent on our cars for transportation to anywhere - work, school, the store, etc. - Very few cities in the US have a practical mass transit system. In my area, for example (Orange County, California), yes there is a bus system. But it's not practical for me to spend an hour and a half on a bus to get somewhere when I need to get there faster and my car can get me there in 15 minutes.
