I think people are just trying to compare random FPS's (First Person Shooter). Most of them are similar in gameplay and even in story (Fallout 3 takes place in a wasteland filled with loot, enemies and traders. So does Borderland). Honestly, I say, who cares? Both have badass gameplay, even better soundtrack, a good story, and plenty of guns. They're both good games, and should be enjoyed regardless of which is better.

If you really must know, you insignificant little infant, my kind of game would be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It's the best, most balanced, team-based first person shooter, out to date. It practically invented FPS. Forget Doom, Halo, Duke-Nukem, and Golden Eye. Those games all blew ass. Y'know, kinda like Borderlands. =]
