I saw both Roger/Philip and then JohnB/Simon - they were both brilliant and entirely different. I love John but cos of the fans it just became the John Barrowman Show...hilarious but so different......Simon was lovely....if you haven't already take a look at John Barrowman and Philip Quast in The Fix....years old but absoltuely amazing. Phil got the Olivier Award...just mesmorising....John B was fantastic too...edgy musical....

I chose not to see Philip Quast because I'd seen Graham Norton and knew i'd be taken to see John Barrowman.

I seriously regret this decision. Philip Quast has been one of my favourite singers since I was 6.

I had the amazing fortune that I got to see both. And although John Barrowman's singing was amazing, he's acting was mediocre at best (and this is coming from a die hard Barrowman fan). Phillip blow Simon out of the water.

@thegaythespian Yes, I never said that he didn't. Philip left when Allam did when opened for Simon Burke and John Barrowman to play Georges and Albin. I saw the show with Quast and then two weeks later with Barrowman.

@thegaythespian I commented on Barrowman's singing and said that he wasn't a very strong actor, the only comparison I made to Quast was with Simon Burke. I do agree that it's unfair to compare different performances but I just wanted to point out that I didn't do that :P
