im slowly coming out, to one person at a time. i started in mid january and have come out to my third person today, slowly and only to people i know i can trust wont publicly out me. all i can say is that each time you do it, it gets WAY easier, the first step is finding someone you know you can trust. from there it just gets easier. im 15 and gay. this is a step in my life that i knew i was going to have to face sooner or later once i came out to myself. again, it gets easier people. it does.
can i just say two things 1: you are so right. just be conferdent in yourself and friends and most family shall accept you. i came out when i was 16 got some set backs at school to begin with but after awhile they don't care. and 2: you are really hot

Honestly, I thought about coming out to my Mom, because I think she already kinda knows ( because it's so obvious lol). I'm not for sure. One time she even told me that I can "tell her anything" and that we should "be open" which translates into "dude, just come out you pixie". I don't know. lol! I came out to my mom the day before my 3rd date with my boyfriend at the time, and I came out on facebook. But then again, I was popular then, and I was the 3rd or 4th gay guy in my high school. So the community was accepting. This is great advice though!! I put all of these factors into consideration before I came out

I love how everyone keeps quoting the bible and defending an attach on it even though no offence has been made. The bible does state that Homosexuality is wrong but it also states that it is not our place as human beings to Judge our brothers and sisters. If those old jewish laws from the old testament no longer apply, then we have no argument, because there is not a single verse in the new testament which condemns homosexuality. The bible does state that Homosexuality is wrong but it also states that it is not our place as human beings to Judge our brothers and sisters. If those old jewish laws from the old testament no longer apply, then we have no argument, because there is not a single verse in the new testament which condemns homosexuality. The verses condemning homosexuality were ALL in the OT, Leviticus in particular. But Jesus said NOTHING about it.

@bdschlong We seem to differ, then, on what the definition of "homosexual act" is. I guess it can be rape, according to you, which its not if it betwen two consenting adults who LOVE each other. On the same hand, I can say that straight sex could be rape, but you would also find that offensive I bet because of this same reason. Don't confuse homosexuality with rape (and even pedophilia). Now THAT's absurd.

Christians understand their bible based upon many principles, not just the words of Jesus alone. We take the bible as a whole and guided by the holy spirit . The teachings of the prophets, the saints, the apostles, Church traditions, and the Holy word of God, (not just the words of some clergy alone).

@inrop8 I often tell my students be careful when reading scripture and then justifying it with statements or words such as it "IMPLIES", it sounds like, it could be, or just maybe, surmises, assumptions and wishful and wanting statements preceeding any scriptures is usally wrought with error..READ IT FOR THAT WHICH IT IS - "IF A MAN" - DO NOT stretch it to a bisexual, heterosexual, homosexul etc...
