@AZVIDS I never had a 42%. I went from a 25% Edge to this 50% Edge, lol
It's so easy to fly because of how big the wing and plane is. So stable, and lands like a trainer. Has plenty of power for any maneuver you want to do. Look at some of my videos of it flying, and I'm nowhere near an expert pilot. This plane can do way more than I'm capable of. I was gonna sell mine to finish another big plane I'm building but I think I can keep them both now.
@aratidwell No, it was my fault. The sensor wire got pulled when my last Edge went down. I just didn't catch it because the wire coating was concealing the break. I needed my magnifing goggles to find it in the end. I'll post an annotation to the video so as not to besmirch 3W's great reputation.
where does on buy such beast? I am scared to question how much? 10k ?

@shebotnov You are pretty close, only 2500 for the ARF alone though. You can buy one at BillHempel. com

Nice! You need to wear a glove while starting. I've been flying gassers a long time and I use a glove.

isnt this more like 1/3? it surely isnt 1/2
wildwilco 2 months ago
@wildwilco It is 1/2 scale. The full scale Edge 540 has a 24' wingspan, not a very big plane itself.
This plane has a 12' wing span, so if you do the math, 24' x 50% = 12'.
It looks much bigger in person.

@sladersoda It has a 2 into 1 muffler that I made.
You can see it better in my other video called,
50% Edge 540 VII Cowl Off Engine / Smoke Test

How does this plane handle vs a 42% er?
I am thinking to go up from my 35% 260 to 42%, but I really like the BIG Hemple planes. Really nice setup!
