haha they're amazing. i love them both. My friend went on the mayercraft cruise recently and she got to meet carl. she said he was really nice, and she asked for his autograph, haha he thought it was weird, cause he wasn't famous or anything.

No offense, I mean it's awesome that he's got an amazing brother... But I feel bad for Carl... That must fuckin suck... Having John Mayer as your brother... That's like being Jesus's brother, The brother is amazing... But the one who's not famous feels like a failure lol...

Yeah, very true, but I'm sure he's been jealous. But John has worked his ass off in his career which is great. I'm sure Carl has some stuff he's good with too.

Yeah, I know I would be proud of my brother if he became famous around the globe. I just feel bad for Carl though because that's a HUGE thing having John as your brother and you're just plain old Carl pretty much. But I will say that I LOVE how John can bring his brother in and get him involved as well, so that's really cool he did that.

Sometimes being famous is not necessarily a measure of happiness or fulfillment. In John's case I think it is, but not always. You do what brings you happiness and if fame can't facilitate that, then it's not worth pursuing.
