Thanks for the trip down memory lane (class of '81). I lived in Dorman Hall. My daughter attends UCF and lives in what is comparatively the lap of luxury but after seeing Dorman again, I realized it was actually a pretty nice place to live. The rooms were huge and I made lots of great friends there. I noticed you didn't show the luxurious bathrooms in Dorman Hall though...wink wink.

@rafarossii well... that depends. compared to other dorms, its really small and not as clean. However i know people who live there and really like the community style part of it.

If you want a nice looking dorm room, you won't like it. If you want a big community, you'll like it.

@powerfulpowerzz Reynolds hall is nice.. its older but its still a decent size (I believe I toured it in the video). They also have a living-learning community for students who are into healthy living and I've heard its really good.

@greenlemon5 On campus--- go to Doak Campbell Stadium, Landis Green, Westcott Fountain (its in my other video Tour of FSU)

I'm not a member of Greek Life, but people I know who are in it really like it and are glad they got involved. You can look up more info about that on greeklife.fsu.edu

@faltless1 unfortunately the closest beach is like an hour and a half away.... it's St. George Island. And then there's Panama City which is like 2 and half hours away.

But FSU does have a surfing and skimboarding club! They go on weekend trips all the time

@amandashowww You can, but for transfers its really hard to get housing because your number falls below incoming freshmen. I would definitely try it though!

@omqwtf345 you can apply for a single but unless you are one of the first to be accepted and have a low housing number then it's hard to guarantee. But some aren't too bad- Wildwood and Degraff

What SAT/ACT scores does FSU look for? Which scores did you send in and what did you get?

@jcordov100 that would be a question for someone in admissions... you can look at admissions.fsu.edu and email one of the people there...

I will say that SAT score isn't everything, they look at GPA, involvement, courses your taking now, and your essay.

@crazylady5 3.4 minimum unweighted gpa ACT 21-writing 21-math 22-reading SAT 500 for all 3 i just named those are minimal and doesnt guarantee admission if you have those and a good amount of extra curriculers, and an exceptional essay u should have no problem getting accepted this is like my #1 school of choice been an FSU fan since 2nd grade go noles!

Just remember, the admissions decision isn't entirely dependent on quantitative factors, there are always the qualitative ones too. :)

thanks for this, the housing website refuses to put more than a single picture of any given dorm, and at that only maybe a picture of the interior. This video A. told me I'm going to have a stove in Ragans, B. which room I was assigned to, and C. how big it actually is. Thank you. You provide an invaluable service

@GWONGGG Cawthon is a music major dorm although there is one floor of non-music students... I've been inside it and its similar to the layout of landis or jennie or reynolds.
