  • I have the greatest scenes from Annie Hall on a DVD.

It's called the Annie Hall DVD.

  • Keaton is sensational in this film. And I'm sure she had so much fun during the lobster scene. :-P

  • killing lobsters and spiders ... not funny ... but Woody Allen is a comic genius in all other respects

  • animal cruelty

  • the awkwardness level is OVER 9000.

    that makes it amazing.

  • DARES A BIG LOBSTA BEHIND DA REFRIGERATA, i can't get it out!!

  • The best scenes of the film for 15-year-olds, perhaps.

  • Il suo modo di cantare mi fa venire il latte alle ginocchia

  • Woody has always been far too long-winded.

  • I fell in love with Annie at precisely 0:46

  • "You want some chocolate milk?"

    "What am I, your son?"

  • cheers

  • in which part does she carry the manikin away?

  • whenever i get Alvie-type comments in my head, i keep em to myself >.>

i've just received a few too many weird looks when i haven't, rofl ;)

  • K I can't watch thisw I got a spider in my bedroom the size of a buick

  • "what is this, an interview? were supposed to be making love!"

    hilaurious WOODY/DIANE duo

  • Wonderful movie, but this compilation captures nothing of it's essence. Sort of nice try though.

  • I just watched this movie for the first time. (yes, i avoided it cuz of the hype and i'm only in my late 20s too).

I loved it! The writing is brilliant. I love the dialogue. It's proof u don't need action for an interesting movie and characters. Well done!

  • Diane Keaton is sweet

    Woody is genious

  • What a brilliant chemistry between them. Allen's comparision of him and Diane Keaton to Hepburn/Tracy wasn't out of place.

  • One to watch at home on New Year's Eve.

  • I agree with some here: How could you call this the "best" scenes, when you leave out Woody's childhood in Brooklyn at the beginning?

    "I'm into leather."

One of the best comic film lines of all time.

Actually, scene-wise, the whole film is a "best of."

  • ALLEN, THE BEST EVER.

  • I never understood the short live "annie hall" look craze that girls did! But this movie is genius for sure. The only thing i missed in this video clip is when she complains about her apartment and Alvie says'' .... Cockroaches and bad plumbing? You say that like it was a negative thing!"

  • that whole lobster bit is so realistic haha- i think woody allen was genuinley scared of them :P

  • my favorite part of the movie

  • Meanwhile I am generally of the opionion that women are hormonwise ill-driven ufos. However, Diane Ketaon in Anny Hall in the bar scene makes me have a want for women some day again.

  • Well, at least women can spell, unlike you. It's probably best for you to keep your misogyny to yourself. I doubt women will find the fact that you hate them very attractive.

  • @gillan5 nice attempt at trolling

  • this is my all time favourite film!!!! I love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Woody is so fantastic director and actor too. His sense of comedy is so unique and fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mas é uma beleza esses filmes dele....sem duvidas! e noivo neurotico, noiva neurvosa é o melhor

  • where is the scene:

"They give out awards for everything. Adolf Hitler, Best Dictator"

only read about it and i realywant to see it.

    couln't find it anywhere

    tia

  • 'He was creepy'

    'Yeah, he was'

    'Well, La Di Dah'

    CLASSIC!!

  • "would u like a glass of choclate milk?"

"what am i ur son?!!" LOOOOL! =D

  • Favorite most innovative lyrical piece of film; Thank you Mr. Woody Allen! I watched the whole film 4 days ago. The best film of his, I believe.

  • why the hell are you watching the video if you hate the movie? just to start a comment fight? go fuck yourself.

  • what dick? the one you wish you had in your vag?

  • yes

  • ONE OF MY W A FAVORITES.

  • ladida lala jaja .... :)

  • i luv the scene at the beginning where she goes la-di-da! it is so funny!

  • there is a funny scene...in Woody Allen's movies...at MoMa...

"What are you doing on Wednesday night...?"

    "I am going to @@@@...myself..."

"Then, what are you doing Tuesday night...?"

Does anyone know where I can see this scene?

  • It's in Play It Again, Sam. Funny movie. Woody and Diane's first film together. He didn't direct that one but he wrote it. The whole film is funny like that.

  • ha hah hahahahahaha soz, its just the way shes dressed!!

  • love how you can see the pictures Annie took in the lobster scene behind Alvy in the beginning of the spider scene. Such a perfect film.

  • hey where's the VW car scene, the funniest joke ever about the guy who thinks he's a chicken, the gamma ray suit, Oh what would I give right now for a giant polo mallet, the house under the roller coaster. It's easy to get absorbed into the romance but there is so much more to this amazing film

  • i heard one of the working titles of the film was:

    "it had to be jew"

lol they should have kept it

    its funny

  • the best line in the spider scene is after woody kills it, annie starts crying, and woody says "what was i supposed to do, rehabilitate it? "

  • Kerouac...it wasn't his BIOLOGICAL daughter. Sheesh!!! (But it really wasn't cool).

  • we should have got steaks ,,they dont have legs, haha, classic funny

  • Wait, wheres the scene where he sneezes into the cocaine?!

  • "we'll digest our food better" LOL!

  • Wonderful, then why don't you get William F. Buckley to kill the spider. LOL

  • Wow I LOVE THE LOBSTER SCENE and then..the photos at her wall

  • "I lurve you....." GREAT!

  • i like luff better :)

  • This is perfect, some of my favorite scenes :)

  • Finally the lobster scene! Thanks very much for this compilation.

  • "...so, now we can digest our food" !!!

  • "For God's sakes, Alvy, even Freud speaks of a latency period!"

I swear to god, that is one of the funniest lines I've ever heard.

  • Wow, Woody Allen is such an amazing director/writer/actor. Just the way this whole movie is set-up, the music, the dialog, the progression, the flashbacks, the background narration and especially the occasional breaking of the "fourth wall" make this an amazing film. I love the parts where he is walking down the street and asks random people questions, and they always seem to answer things he already knows or assumes, it's such a better way to explain his thoughts than just saying them.

  • i agree and because he's such an amazing director/writer/actor society turns a blind eye to the fact he's having sex with his daughter!!! but hey dosent he direct write and act well!!!

  • I love the scene where Diane sings Old Times because she her eyes are so expressive and amazing. She is so understated in this movie. I love it!!

  • This my favorite movie of all time, great compilation....thabk you!

  • There are indeed some of the best scenes! Great film!!

  • Diane keaton is a freakin genius in this movie!

  • "Call 911, it's the Lobster Squard"! *lol*

  • Comedy with compulsion = "Annie Hall" A wonderful film!!!La De Da La De Da!!!

  • Es genial .

  • A modern masterpiece. God bless Woody Allen.

  • LOL love the spider part!

  • these aren't the best scenes!

  • de gustibus non est disputandum

  • @SLRCKS Lecitne mihi ire ad latrinam...? ;-)

  • best movie ever. PERIOD!

  • I was killing spiders since i was 30...beautiful!!

  • "honey there's a spider in your bathroom the size of a buick!"

    ohh i love this movie.

  • "you're polymorphously perverse!"

  • "now we can go about our business here and even develop photographs if we want to"

    classic

  • The Diane Keaton style is unique, so metropolitan, vintage...Woody e Diane perfect nevrotic lovers...This is for me love!:)

  • It's weird, at the end of this movie, it really feels like you know these two people. This is really a great movie.

  • you do! and anybody who can stay with Woody Allen that long deserves Oscar gold!

  • Diane is the greatest actress ever

    i love her work

nd annie hall was perfect as well

    woody is a genius

  • she wasn't THAT good!

  • I wouldn't say the greatest EVER that's overrating it but she's one of the best.

  • alright meryl sreep and kathy hepburn but annie hall in marvins room, reds, somethings gotta give,Manhattan or the godfather trilogy???

    all excellent performances by keaton

she can be funny but dramatic as well

  • yeah she's great my favorite of all time though isn't Meryl Streep like most people say- it's Jodie Foster. I'm not saying she's the greatest ever because it's hard to name that but she's my favorite and one of the best alive. I also like sissy Spacek and Kate Winslet. But like I said Diane is great too. I like her better than Streep. I'm not a Streep fan.

  • yea streep has a couple good roles but keaton far impresses me jut on how she can be a in a comidic role then to a heart renching film

    winslet is very gifted too

but im also widely impressed with cate blanchet

  • wow i love the 70s

  • nice.. :)

  • I love this movie and I think Woody is great. Thanks for posting and you did a wonderful job.

  • This movie actually hits very close to a relationship I had one time. This story is so much like my real life story. A whole hell of a lot like it!

  • Even Annie Hall looks a lot like my ex. A lot of similarities looks wise and personality wise. (I look nothing like Woody Allen.)

  • ahahahaha...i like this movie...i like the lobster part...mmmmmm...lobster(drooling)

  • Diane did have a great, unique, orginal style then. It's too bad she hasn't changed it since. Whenever I see her now, I think, "Hey, it's Annie Hall, 30 years later."

  • Yeah.

  • i love her style in this movie.

It was a good choice to have her in this movie.

Woody, you never turn me down.

  • Maggie Gyllenhall sort of looks like Diane Keaton back then...Diane needs to get rid of her bangs, go back to black hair and get some contacts. She was really cute then

  • I forgot how HOT Diane Keaton was back then.

  • Very hot back then!

  • Still very hot.

  • oh well la di da lol my favorite part

  • can anyone write the espression that annie hall use? i dont know how do you write it, im spanish

  • Which one? La di da, la di da, la la? (Well at least I write it like that...)

  • I'd write it la dee da, la dee da, la la.

  • Even though it's a comedy, I think my favorite part is when Diane sings _seems like old times_.

  • Wow! I saw this again last night and I feel the same way. I kept replaying the scene. Nice to see a simpatico spirit online. Have a great day!

  • I'll be like one of the fans in Stardust Memories and sincerely say, GENIUS!

  • It's one of his best, his funniest one is Manhattan Murder Mystery....hilarious

  • Diane looks so gorgeous.

  • I lurve this movie! I totally love every minute of it! It is my all time favourite movie!

  • I agree. This is a great movie. One of his best.

  • Woody Allen is one of my favorite comedians of all time. Annie Hall is my second favorite movie of all time. Hilarious movie.

  • what is the first one?

  • The Godfather. I know, its a totally different genre, but Annie Hall comes in a very close second to the Godfather.

    1. The Godfather

    2. Annie Hall

    3. Taxi Driver

    4. On the Waterfront

    5. The Godfather Part II

  • Seeing this in '77, afterward I was speechless. I think that meant I liked it. Then seeing it on #1 lists until this day: I guess that meant that others liked it too.
