Great vid man! i live in singapore so there are very little comic shops here but i found one shop! Im currently reading the flash the new 52:) and going to get started on the green lantern soon!
@BRIANbummers Very nice! I have been out of the comic book realm for a while now, I just hate the status quo, if you don't know what that is you will find out very very soon. Look into independent comics (not DC, Marvel, Image), much more satisfaction in those, and no status quo bullshit! No resets!
Hey mate, Could you do a video about how it is recommended you read your comics to try to keep them as clost to NM as possible, or is it not possible and you should just not read it?
@FunnyGlueTV I can, but all I do is find a clean flat surface or a hardcover (which I have laying landscape style) and don't lick your finger (if that's how you change pages) and just be careful when you turn the page. That's really all that is needed. Remember that Near Mint can have flaws, small flaws.
@AppoloMythos Thank you. Yeah, all I do is find a clean flat surface or a hardcover (which I have landscape style) and don't lick your finger (if that's how you change pages) and just be careful when you turn the page.
@AdzPower Storing and caring for comics is fairly easy and fairly inexpensive once you know how to properly do it. I got ya! I have around 6 years of knowledge through working at a comic shop that has over 2100 customers. Any questions let me know.
@Twist072 Since the graphic novels don't usually gain value, it doesn't really matter. You can store them the same way as comics, you can bag them, might even be able to get a board in there, but since they never gain any value it's whatever you want,
i use the bag and boarding technique. but i store them horizontally in archival photo boxes. alternating turning every other one around so the spines are alternating. ive been using this method since i started collecting and ive never had any damage to my book. but i have seen many times comic books destroyed in long boxes from the weight of all the books leaning on them.
@betaraybrad91 That is a risky method, but if it works for ya more power to ya! I would suggest buying comic book boxes from a local comic shop or online, they only cost $5 for a short box. Also if you have trade paperbacks I suggest placing one in the front and back to cover the ends that have small gaps big enough for 2-3 comics to fall into.
@marq6969 Thanks! I like to articulate my words an such! Gotta get that motivation in line and I'll be good to go! Just too easy to sit back and play games and shit!
