  • It is better when making them to use the pre-colored acrylic powder ( #57) which is much closer to a normal persons tooth color. But one earler person is currect One can darken the white acrylic ones by either drinking , or letting them soak in coffee or tea .

  • you might wanan put the fangs in a coffee for a bit to dye them to the color of your teeth

  • dont quote me, but I think you can color the teeth with a spot of tea. The acrylic is porous (?SP) so it should absorb color.

  • I tried it, but it didn't work.

  • oh well, at least the look really cool, I'll sub to your vid's, you have really good ideas.

  • thanks :o)

  • I kinda like that the fangs are that white, don't know why, I kinda like 'em^^ Awesome really, the contacts are epic!

  • handsome vampire heheh LOL

  • green screens rock!!!

  • lets hope that you don't get too many outtakes with the drinking the blood scene, or you'll be wreked! haha

    Niall

  • LOL! but that's what makes it fun!

  • haha. Can I be in an episode?! hahahaha.

    Niall

  • it sooo hard not to laugh when you have those teeth in.

  • Frightening stuff there rich, love the contacts!

  • I've been a bit behind on videos because of work. Just watched the invitation vid, looked great. The green screen really pulled it all together well. Looking forward to the miniseries!

  • Cool. Let me know if you need us for the scenes you may put in! James

  • cool idea. looking forward to it as it develops

  • Why are you doing this?

What software are you using for this?

And my advice, it looks very typical of a vampire. I think as mentioned a pale, sickly complexion would be better, perhaps a sort of deathly yellowish colour, like the blood had been drained from your face.

The teeth are okay but it looks more of the fantasy genre.

I don't know what your aiming for but I think a more human styled clothing would be better.

  • Rick Enjoy your vlogs and hope you have a good week

    Cheers

  • That is a great costume, I love the teath, yet, maybe you could make your skin a bit more pail, you could put some talcum powder or flour or you could buy a cheap make up kit with a white base coat.

  • Thanks for the tip - yes i agree with you - a paler complection will help I think. I will look into it.

  • more like rick VAMP man. lol

  • lol - I seriously struggled to come up with any kind of name - I might yet change it if I eventually thing of something better!

  • Sounds like a brilliant idea....looking forward to seeing what you do with it!!

  • Thanks Biggy! me too!

Great to see you in the live chat last night.

  • Great chroma keying

  • thanks. - actually I thought it was a bit rough - I didn't spend much time setting up the lighting and it is all wrong.

  • wat is the name of the song in the background

  • sorry, not sure - it was from a collection of royalty free stuff I got from ebay.

  • u can buy vampire prostetics from buffy/angel, i got one as a test so i dont waste my good one and its pretty good and easy to put on. As for the costume a vintage shirt, waist coat, cumberbun, neck scarf(tucked) and medal is wot you wanna try. rather than waste the cape mod it. sew the colar in on its self to create a grandad shirt style then go to B&Q get a small bit of chain and some ornate hinge covers to make a fancy clasp to attatch the cape to..just an idea

  • Thanks for the ideas volvic (mwp?) an interesting idea for the cape. I'm going to order a vintage shirt off ebay this week. I did consider prosthetics, but they seem hard to come by in the uk, and as most of them are for single use, it could work out quite expensive.

  • yeh one half ov mwp, prosthetics are reusable if you treat them right, but can be expensive sometimes. like any show or idea it wont go on forever maybe think of how many you will produce before you upgrade your costume too much. the cape can be a good prop, one which you remove b4 sitting down or something

  • do you have contact lenses, they look seriously creepy

  • finally, my suspicions have been proved, rick really is a vampire. I KNEW IT

  • you were saying about the cap i think the cape is abit cliche for a vampire maybe just wear a suit keep the medalion and wastecoat just a thort.i like the idea though sounds interesting.

  • Thanks for the tip - i think i'm going to agree with you, the cape is a bit cliche' - maybe i'll go for a more victorian-looking shirt instead?

  • yeh that mite make it seem more realistic not that vampires are real anyway haha

  • Yeah , I totally agree with StarDust. Ditch the cape it should look fantatsic. This project sounds really interesting

  • thanks for the advice - consider the cape ditched! Yes, it could be a neat little series if I can pull it off well enough.
