I had to choose between the GK and the new Peavey TNT tour 115. I like em both but the Peavey had more power and you can add an extension cab. The tweeter on the GK was also too hissy. The Peavey is much heavier though.
@DudeWithTheGoodMusic That's a touh one man...sounds like a good deal though. If I had that option right now I'd probably go for the 700. Don't get me wrong...I love mt TNT 115...I added an extension cab to it and it kicks ass. But it seems that separate components give u more convenience than a combo. Again it depends on what ur doing...good luck dude...you can't go wrong with either choice.
If you gig a lot and need something small, portable and powerful, these GK combos are tough to beat. I have this same amp and it's stellar for everything I play, from R&B to funk to metal and everything in between. I've even traded my trusty giant 2x15's and 8x10's for two of the MBE 4x10 cabs paired with an 800 watt ultralight GK head. Now my entire "big rig" weighs about 100 pounds total, I can play ANY venue, and the whole thing fits in the back of my Scion tC!
to racist posts.. are there racist musicians too- really??? that´s just plain weird these days!!! sounds like kids posting. hey kid go jam out in the world!
Could this be used for punk rock/hardrock and such? It seems to really fit the bill: good Watts, portable and all for a very reasonable price. I'm new to bass (don't have one yet but I'm buying a Squier P-bass in a few months) so I don't know if certain amps are better for my style of music than others.
@AttitudeCastle ok so if there's an online store in Dublin then they'll speak Irish, if it's in Barcelona then they'll speak Catalan, if it's in Bucarest then Romanian... they sell for all Europe and the official language is English. I don't agree on this but it's the way it is...
@Kaloan91 Well their website is in English as well as german.
But i mean if a british for example site does web reviews in english and they ship world wide should they do the video in every lanuage? I mean yeah it would be cool and probably boost sales if they did but still.
If its their target audience then i think its fair enough! (I'm not having a go at you just stateing for anyone reading this!)
@Kaloan91 Plus more contries speak German as a primary langauge in Europe than English in the UK and Europe has no offical language as a collection of countries, and the EU has no offical langauge as its all for multi-language societies!
