Great video, thanks CATO! Don Devine describes the trouble in defining conservative foreign policy. It should begin with defining conservatism: fiscally and constitutionally limited government; then applying that definition to foreign policy, addressing only real threats to our security interests with military force after the people, through their congress, have voted to do so. It's unrealistic to think that whatever happens in Afghanistan isn't directly affected by Pakistan in the same way that Iran pulls strings in Iraq. We could "train" the Afghan army for the next 100 years and it will be irrelevent without a STRONG and COMPETENT central government in Kabul coupled with enough pressure on Pakistan to stop supporting the Taliban.

@MooseOfReason Because it's not controversial and we won that one. It's the same reason the doves don't make movies about the Korean War, rarely the Vietnam War and they squash any talk about the Iran Contra.
