People complaining about her being so "rough" have obviously never seen a mother cat with her kittens. Most kittens need a degree of "handling", especially the abandoned ones, because without a mother to push them around, knock them over, and pin them down, and without siblings to climb over and push out of the way, the kitten will have a hard time developing properly.
I know the first instinct is to handle them like fine china, but that's not the way Nature works. ^^;
Yeah, I got a couple of pretty shrimpy cats myself. Three to be exact, all abandoned and/or feral, two we rescued as kittens, and one 3 year old who'd been dumped at just 8 weeks old.....needless to say they're barely half the size of the three cats we'd raised from kittens, but boy are they plucky!
Yeah, he was a total runt. Still is, two years later!
He arrived three days before his eyes began to open from which we deduced his age on arrival as four days old, and counted forward from there. Based on that estimate, he was born June 1, 2006. He's now 2 years 2.5 months and king of the neighborhood :)

I like looking at cat clips... but I hate cats in real life. I hate the biting, the pouncing, the scratching. Just plain annoying.

animallovercharlie 1 year ago
@animallovercharlie Most cats figure it out on their own, though you do have to teach them how to open the door to the litterbox.
