I find it pretty awesome that Regine doesn't cross her arms when she plays the hi-hat. Is she left handed or something?

its apparently handy to play the way she is playing because it means you can more easily access the toms (with your right hand) while still playing the hi-hat =). also, im not too sure but i think a left handed drummer will probably play a left handed drum kit, like dom from muse

I dunno. She may be left-handed; I know a lefty drummer and he would play a right-handed kit that way.

Setting the kit up to left-handed for Regine might be too much effort to bother with; They'd have to re-set the mics and check the levels. Much easier to just let it be and let her play despite the minor inconvenience. Doesn't seem to bother her haha.

no, some people just learn that way. it's called open rather than a crossover. if you listen to dave matthews band at all, carter beauford (the drummer) plays open like that too.

@prdrums77 Just a little tip, drummers tend to use their originaly more dominant hand quite frequently (unless their born ambedextrous) so if you watch her hands you can find out. p.s. I doubt shes ambidextrous!
