Practical effects can be just as terrible if it's done on the cheap and fast (see any number of cheapo horror movies from the 80's). CGI can be great when used correctly, given enough time and budget to polish. Problem is a lot of today's CGI is done on a rush.
and oh ya it was till the 90,s people really worked hard to make a real life charactor tru real man made materials and not like now, everything is just tru computer animation...
when i was like 7 when this movie came out, this slimer scard me, it was to creepy...if you guys were born in the early 80,s, everything was so wierd, everything possible, crazy ridilous movies...lol...
OH YES this is the kinda stuff, didn't Jabba the hut look better as a puppet than tha CGI crap in the remastered lost scene in a new hope i.e eps 4 or 1 depending on how old you are :)
I'm a big supporter of CGI (when done well) but there is an undeniable charm about the Ghostbusters' rubber ghosts that I fear cant be replicated with computer animation.
What the hell? This video didn't show up in my subscriptions until today, although it was uploaded two weeks ago, and also has no ratings or comments and only 5 views...???

Steve was in his late teen when he began make-up fx, so he was in his early 20's when he worked in GB for Boss Films... ( if I'm not wrong )
