Hi! Did you by any chance get a recording of Promised Land from this show? Bruce threw me his harmonica after that song, and I've been looking all over for a recording of it. It was the best night of my life!
Hi! Did you by any chance get a recording of Promised Land from this show? Bruce threw me his harmonica after that song, and I've been looking all over for a recording of it. Thank you :)
@svagrod You need to see Springsteen play live once in your life. I was a casual fan until I saw him live at the age of 27. Now ten years later, I would put myself in the "obsessed" category. Long live Bruce!
@ElenaRN1 ...Sorry but I did,My girlfriend wanted to go,and sorry thought he sucked the big one.Hey, music is different for everyone just cause I think he sucks doesn't mean other people don't.. You sound kinda scary to be obsessed over anything.Be careful :) LOL
@svagrod If you don't get it now, there's no use trying to explain it to you - even though Amazon dot com lists 65 books about the man. I used to get mad at Bruce detractors like you, but thanks to you, I've got a better shot at seeing one of his sold out shows.......Interesting, you're still watching his videos -- and judging him based on an unrehearsed, on-the-spot request of someone else's song from 40 yrs ago. You should check out "Working on a Dream" & then judge
@JohnnyTRex99 ...No I'm not watching his vids,I just came across this song and watched it to see if it was any good(I like this song),I never liked his music for the most part, maybe 2 songs I like.Everyone has different tastes which is all good. I shouldn't of said what I did about sucking someones dick,Music is different for everyone tastes..I'm glad I could help you get a better chance in seeing him live.Take care!
I recorded the week after this song was recorded in the little 2 track studio in Bay City Michigan back in 1966.. The Mysterians are all friends... I think it's so cool to hear Bruce do this. I must have played this song hundreds of times. I can't stop smiling... I think the guys would be so proud.... Thanks for this.
what song HASN'T he done live? Heard him do Twist and Shout, Street Fighting Man, Quarter to Three, the Mitch Ryder medley, many others. Their Rock N Roll repertoire is unparalleled!
look at garry tallent in the background, smiling and laughing and having the time of his life.....after 40 years of playing with bruce....that really says something! go E street band!
This was only the second time they've done "96 Tears" at an E Street Show; the first was on 7-18-03 at Giants Stadium when Garland Jeffreys guested on vocals (so they had rehearsed it). I was there for that one and didn't think they'd likely ever do that song again, but that was before the era of the SIGNS. (Maybe someone should request "Signs" by the Five Man Electrical Band as an homage to this new addition to the show!)
Great posting. My daughter was the person that Bruce tossed the Harmonica to after Promised land. She was hold up a sign on the side of the stage....would you happen to have any footage or pictures from where you where..many thanks...In BRUCE WE TRUST....MAD
LOL! I love Bruce's sweet little goofy dances, I think the greatest living rock n roll artist in the world may have two left feet, but I think it's adorable! :) BRUUUUUCE
Thanks for sharing. I was at the show too, but almost didn't get your upload. I searched by date, and you have 4/25/09 in the title. Should be 4/26/09. Lots of people will be searching for your great uploads. Thanks again!
thanks for the correction on the title it is fixed now... hope everyone is enjoying, I still have 6 more in the pipeline so subscribe. Coming soon, The Rising, Trapped, Tenth Ave Freezout, BTR, Jungleland, Radio Nowhere and some snippets...

The worst singer that has ever been popular! Sorry, don't reply unless you can express yourself intelligently. (no cursive language)

@goodthing99 Yeah, I'm going to get on the Internet and say things like "Mother Theresa was a jerk" just because I need the attention, just like you.
Fucking imbecile.
If you don't want to be sworn at, you may wish to post something that doesn't expose you as a fucking imbecile.

bruce. timeless. period.
whether its 1977, 1984, 1992, 2009
never has an artist still held his popularity, talent, and relevance.
leshager 2 years ago
ermm maybe not 1992

I thought that was an awesome period in his work! And the Human Touch and Lucky Town albums are really underrated. . .
