Mon père a travaillé a la mine et moi aussi. Arrêtez de vous acharner sur l'amiante. Les substituts qui sont chimiques sont bien plus dommageables mais on n'en parle pas.

Well because at first time,since the first step to the asbestos banishment the U.S.A created a synthetic product that they use and can replace the asbestos but it's not as effective as the mineral fiber that we use to mine at T-M.So, to sell this product they decided to disinforme people and make them believe that it's dangerous, some case of pulmonary desease had been declared in the past(BUT THESE PEOPLE WERE WORKING IN A CLOTHES SHOP!
I hope for your sakes you are right...but Asbestos can take up to a maximum of 50 years to take effect. I do have one bit of useful advice though...don't smoke, if you smoke and have had any exposure you have a 75% chance of contracting mesothelioma, if you don't smoke that drops to 25%. I was exposed myself some 26 years ago...but I hope by keeping fit and healthy the only thing I'll die of is old age...I wish you all the same:)

Those journalists haven't read the report ... The sampling method is not very representative also the report conclude that after living 30 years in thetford mines you get 1 SINGLE CHANCE on 20000 to develop risk of asbestos related disease. This is no big deal ?
