The free state army commemorating 1916 makes me sick because they fought to crush the Republic in 1922. This is a disgrace to the men and women who died at Easter week.
@ronnielad7: Unfortunately that's not the case. De Velera didn't have any issues with sending Irishmen to their deaths just like he did at the Cutoms house fiasco, furthermore he hid behind his American citizenship to avoid a firing squad, he was a legend in his own mind.
excellent posting , strange how they done vertually nothing for the 75th anniversary , in fact the few remaining veterans were not even given seats at the garden of rememberance for the ceromony until it was made public and Mary Robinson organised seating , ya fuckin hoo .
Taking part in the parade were were survivers of the Easter Rising including three million men who fought in the GPO. !!

@tomtesticle: An asshole is what he was.. The bad luck of the Irish is that he survived the civil war and not Collins.

Wow, that was powerful. Seen De Velera in Kilmainham jail were the Irish "HEROS" were executed, must have been very powerful for him, let alone me!
Brilliant Video, thanks!

4:52 is the key. But again Ireland should remain a neutral state in war for the next sixty years.
