@ashleyandlaycool1fan i had a relative, now deceased, who worked as a nanny/maid in dubai back in the 90's. though she said she was treated good by her host family, even she admitted that abuse does go on there. its so bad that the sri lankan and phillipines govt are no longer allowing women to work as maids in the gulf. thats not to say that indians are not just as guilty of maid abuse either. they are just as horrible in india too, where even children work as house maids.

@ashleyandlaycool1fan most indians are hindus not muslims, but there is a large muslim community from india. but many are also sikh and even christian too. in fact a large number of indians who do immigrate tend to be christian, both protestants and catholics alike. mainly because they speak better english, which is like a holy language for them, they conduct services in india in english, and get free education from christian schools.

@ashleyandlaycool1fan but its alot better to be indian in america than it is in the gulf. which is why many immigrate here from the gulf, but never the other way around. many use the gulf as a stepping stone to america, because america allows naturalization and citizenship something the gulf countries do not. i think the racism towards indians in the gulf is alot higher, than racism towards indians in america. i know because i am of indian descent and live here.

@ashleyandlaycool1fan thats not entirely correct and misleading. the free housing is more like dorms. there is alot of abuse too, where workers are not even paid. they sleep on bunk beds with five or six in one room. all the other free stuff are for citizens only. most mexicans are illegals and not foreign guest workers who simply cross the border illegally.
