I only ask as I dont know.. I was listening to what I thought was Glass - Satyagraha on sat night, if I have the right piece or artist you will recognise, it was like men chanting, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha etc then ocasionally a woman sang, then back to the chanting.. I have I got the right opera?
Please help! I cant get the chant out of my mind..
By the end of the video, I can't help but think of the ocean surge as an analogy for time, constant, impartial, and content to keep coming long after we've grown too tired to keep up with it. The little moments interspersed throughout really helped communicate the exuberance of youth. I'd like to think that I felt even one iota of what you must feel as a father, watching your son. Continue to treasure these precious moments, all the more for those of us who may never know them ourselves.
Sadness? Hardly! Each new day will bring new moments of joy - which you must live fully, without any thought of loss! We began videotaping our children in the early 80's. Every stage, every mood, every triumph is preserved and treasured!
I have to say, Philip Glass is one of the few minimalist composers I've found myself able to enjoy.
Satyagraha is beautiful. I actually cried just listening to it on the radio.

Beautiful! My husband and I want to return to Aruba again but this time bring our daughter who would love the gorgeous sand and water.
