@JohnBoxful and those two, together, sit very irregularly upon one another - creating a very trashy sound. however, to kill the resonance (because you don't want to hear any notes or lasting sound, or at least i don't) i put an extra splash on top, keeping a bit of pressure on the whole stack

@JohnBoxful thanks man :) i don't know too much about stacking, all i know is that when you put a couple of cracked-as cymbals together, they can sound very trashy. I don't think it neccessarily works like a hi-hat, though i have seen videos of people using 'hihhat-esque' trash stacks. The way mine works is I have a cracked up china, and the edges are folded up and irregular (all a result of me playing it, no tampering! haha) and a very torn up splash that i place over the top of that,

@mikethedrumaniac Mike the issue with trying to replicate pridgen's parts are....they're just free bars (pure improv) there is no exact structure to his licks, its just alot of linear/rudiment triplet stuff
