I really agree Bimbavati is so full of life and so do her dance steps. I enjoy this dance as well as her Radha Roop Varnan whenever I get spare time. This is truly Manipuri... in all sense. She is perfect in every move to the nicely sung song.... Dress is also graceful....
hello....please be careful. why dont u wear proper costume. dont u understand that this dance is a part of manipuri classical dance and not dance drama. dont be so creative.........
@MrAnjuma- i'm a meitei & a manipuri dancer staying in imphal. have u seen bimbavati's dance? she is v.v.energetic, vibrant and a fantastic dancer & a very learned person 2. she has a very strong musical & dance background. creativity means anything that u create. any danceforms did not fall from heaven. they were created and later they had a definite shape which is undergoing changes everyday. it is created & recreated otherwise tradition will not live, u have to adapt it with time.
@MrAnjuma- i think u r a bit confused about the phaijom & the koyet. my grandma was a very famous bashok phangnaba artist and my maternal grand uncle a famous udukhol & shanshenba artiste. i saw mandop shows when i was very small and have seen many pics. this phaijom that the dancer is wearing is typical of udukhol and when krishna goes for sanshenba he wears the phaijom with the kunja in front. the koyet is also 100% meitei.
@MrAnjuma - to experiment with tradition u need to have a very good knowledge and training of the artform or else the experiment will become baseless. that is exactly what this dancer does. all that she does revolves within manipuri only.
Could anybody tell me who is the singer... her voice is too good...
