He is great - problem is Hendrix was the best at that stuff... Why does he bother. His own stuff - ie blues and soul is more "listenable" with loads of tallent - he finished on Hendrix in 1998 in Sheperds Bush London and to be honest it sounded like a mess of noise! Whats the point!
Whitford's the man! Those bastards in Aerosmith have never given him the credit he deserves. Everyone seems to know slow-fingers Perry, who can barely play anything nowadays.
Dude be cool! How could you even say bullshit like this? In Aerosmith Brad 's got a lot to show and at every gig he shows his qualities, and how great guitarist he is. Just listen to Train Kept a Rollin, Last CHild, Lord of the Thighs, Back in the Saddle and many many more songs where Brad is playing such a great solos.
I say it because I've seen them live and mr. Whitford seems to get as much attention as live-only keyboardist Russ Irwin, maybe even less. I know what he's capable of, that's why it pisses me off so much when Tyler and Perry nearly push him behind the curtains to play. And with the songs you mentioned, you brought it out how little he plays lead guitar in their newer songs.
@TheElPajero dude calm down, you're wrong, perry has always said how good brad is and that he thinks brad is better than him, they know how important brad is. Slow-fingers perry? barely can play? wrong.
@sueellen360 Well, it's just my opinion. And I've seen and heard Perry play, and to my ears he doesn't sound half as good as he used to. And yes, my bad, Joe has given credit to Brad, but just so sad how little it shows on their albums. Brad even said in one of his interviews on Just Push Play album that he had very little effect on the album, he was basically called to the studio when the others had already recorded their parts. Valuable band member, right?
@TheElPajero i've seen some videos (2006-2010) he sounds pretty good and i saw them the last month and they were great, all of them. About the albums, yeah, he didnt' do too much in JPP but who cares about that album? xD you know what i mean... but in the others albums he has much more participation. you should check out Train kept a rollin fresno 2006, joe and brad were great that night
Jonny played this tune with Isaac Hanson the other night in Tulsa! Man, I would have liked to be there!
