That troll at 1.27 was really smart. I loved how when he heared the scream of Sauron he knew immediatly to get the fuck out of there. Must have been the smartest troll in all of middle earth.
Sauron was a Maiar spirit created by Eru iluvatar in the Silmarillion. He was the second embodiment of evil in Middle Earth. However, he was but a vassal to the first Dark Lord. Melkor, or Morgoth, which means "the black enemy of the world". Morgoth was the most powerful Valar Spirit, created by Eru iluvatar. Sauron served Morgoth as a spy in the beginning before openly declaring himself a Dark Lord in the 2nd Age. Sauron's goal was to dominate the wills of the people of Middle Earth.
ring destroyed, sauron: "whoah, i dont feel so good, what happened? is this supposed to happen? whoah! wait a minute what the hell? i am falling, what is this? this was not part of the bugdet. oh crap wait i am getting smaller, what the oh fu--" BOOM
sauron's like a high level demon, similar power to Gandalf and Balrog. But he's not the baddest demon in middle-earth ever, that honour goes to Morgoth in the Silmarillion. He's the one bad guy so nuts he wiped out two different forms of light before the Sun and Moon were made (the two Lamps, and the Two Trees of the Undying Lands), and if possible he would destroy the sun too. He also invented dragons, and also originally twisted elves (through torture and experiments) into orcs!
the inevitable is that everyone, at least at that split of a second, forgets about sam, and everyone yells frodo and frodo only. It's kind of sad that it happens but it's human nature.
@AH2zxj Frodo is the ring bearer, if Frodo died, the mission was guaranteed to fail. Nobody knew if Sam was alive or not. Sam helped, but Frodo is the one who carried and destroyed the ring, not Sam.
@GrrrIamMad I do realize that. What I was trying to say is that Sam played an invaluable role in this whole quest. Without Sam, Frodo would have never made it to Mount Doom. However his contribution seems unaccounted for at that moment.
can someone please tell me if the screaming from the eye is actually sauron himself screaming like an aeroplane or if its just the eye itself making crazy sounds.
@warpfield98 Seeing as how the eye can 'speak' and it's been shown in all of the movies; "You cannot hide... I see you!" "Aragorn!" etc etc, yeah, I'd wager that it's Sauron's actual voice screaming.
@warpfield98 ages since i read the silmarillion but what i remember is that sauron is a form of spirit, like gandalf and balrog, witch started to work with Melkor/morgoth (basicly the devil) and when melkor got defeated sauron sorta took his place, so in a way a fallen spirit = demon :) maybe somone else here knows more^^
I really do hope they do The Lord of the Rings in 3D soon.

@AH2zxj Yes, but the people cheering don't know anything about Sam, they only know about Frodo through Gandalf. Sam could be dead for all they know.
