  • You do a nice form. The one criticism I have though, is it appears as if you are leaning backwards in some of the postures, although it may just be the camera angle playing tricks.

  • I am glad you only have one criticism! I do appear to be leaning back. When this film was shot, 2003, I was working on dropping the lower spine to root more precisely into the foot. My teacher emphasised a forward rotation of the hips to correct what he called a false root which I seemed to have. In my experience there is disagreement as to what a straight spine actually means. I try to have the crown of the head (ni wan) above the tan tien. Hopefully, my Form is better now than it was.
