Also, keep in mind that the Root Exploit (memory bug) was introduced in the kernel 2.6.39 update -- release in May 2011.
So basically, your nerdy dumb piece of garbage OS was running with a severe bug that granted root access to anyone who exploited it for 8 months unnoticed by the developers.
Makes you wonder how many "undiscovered" root access bugs are in LiEnucks right now. You'd be an idiot to think that your bug ridden OS is 100% secure.
@Videotubelord I see that you're just resorting to personal attacks now. How about growing a pair and just admitting that no OS is bug-proof.
As of now, Lunix probably has more root exploits that will be patched next year, much like the Memodipper memory bug that affects all kernels from 2.6.39 and above.
@lienucksfails2 What a load of FUD. Been running and using Windows here for a decade, not a single data corruption incident. I transfer & move tens of GBs per day thanks to my 100 Mbps internet.
@lin545 He knows, he clearly chooses tests that Windows win. Won 21s on 2Gb (thats nothing) while Windows is famous for data corruptions (even on phones too) :D
@xyz98742 No, I did a test, Linux transfer multiple files faster from my backup DVD to HDD. Here: Copy 13000 files varied formats (about 4 GB) Windows 7 est: 10 hours; after 2 hours, loss of patience. Linux: in 7 minutes DONE! Fresh hardware as well. What you got now, niggah what you got?
@MDxm3000 I did a test, Windows transfers multiple files A LOT faster from my backup DVDs, CDs, USB Flash sticks, external HDDS, etc. Here: Copy 11004000+ files about (40 GB) from Windows 7: ets time: 40 minutes.
LiEnucks: 18 hours. Lost patience.
And this video proves that Window is faster. If you're still in denial, TuxRadar (look them up), have done a benchmark too, in which Windows 7 wins too.
@xyz98742: You confused niggah? It doesn't even take half those hours unless I use a distro which lags behind by a year, shake the drive while it's working or send files over dial-up to it. And that "professional" benchmark: Posted at 5:16 pm on Thursday August 20th 2009. It's over a year old. there's been at least 10 kernel versions since 2.6.30, a switch from HAL to udev, and more. BTW your mom likes the increased strength in my pubococcygeus. What about YOUR denial now, FUDface?
@MDxm3000 LOL, why are you still in denial? EXT4's read/write speed have only slowed down ever since the days of Ubuntu 8 and Ubuntu 9. Look it up, educate yourself, imbecile.
@MrSataGYPSYpitiful: Tsk, you are indeed pitiful. I'm not even using that Distribution, so not denying Ubuntu sucks, which it does. But it's Linux in general now, get it? Send canonical a bug report, they clearly picked the wrong default fstab settings if it's getting slower by the release.
@acrazyplayer I would say the same, Windows buffers it's usb transfers.. @lienicksfails just doesn't know the difference of a sync and async transfer, linux let's you change this, I don't know about windows let's you do that.. In practice thats why the Flash drive still blinks after a transfer in windows (and mac), and that is why you should ALWAYS "eject flash-drive" before removing the device in an windows environment.. speed is the same, windows just make it look speedier..
@xyz98742 denial? I could not care less, my external hdd is eSATA not lousy "10-year-old-technology-aka-usb-2.0-piece-of-crap".. from my point of view usb 2.0 is proof that you do not care for speed anyway, if you want to cripple the performance of your hard drives it's perfectly okay, but then a SPEED benchmark seems quite obsolete imho.. my basic point were buffer/non-buffer, then again your benchmark does not apply to me..
@cuntdrac Sounds like you're pretty upset about this whole thing. Anyway, my 3 year old laptop (Dell XPS m1530) does not have an eSata port. Hence, this test was carried on using USB 2.0
32 MB/s is not bad anyway, for me. I usually just transfer 700 MB files => 20 seconds.
@xyz98742 ok wow, then maybe you are not in position for benchmarking and bashing these kind of things.. I guess you don't even know how smooth my system runs (yes even with lienucks installed), internal hdd is a slow ocz ssd 250 MB/s write. Just to explain the speed; it takes measly 7 minutes to install windows 7 SP1 in VMware (university pays)... smoothly I am able to run both ubuntu, xp, vista and 7 simultaneously with a workspace for each.. do you think I care about your "benchmarks"?
@cuntdrac LOL. Good for you, dumbass. If you have an OCZ SSD, have fun with it. Too bad 99% of people out there are still stuck with mechanical HDD (SSD are way too expensive).
This video is still relevant.
You're just another butthurt idiot. Move along, chump.
@xyz98742 Thank you, I am. while I still have it. thinking of 3 OCZ Vertex 3 in a raid0 array, that would be sweet for my next laptop.. anyway that does not change the fact that windows = async usb transfer while linux is sync by default, there is nothing wrong with an async transfer.. except that you cannot count on the window showing the transfer is showing a realistic view of what's going on.. today windows told me "75 MB/s 5 seconds left" 2.7GB usb2.0 transfer, yeah riiight.. that's async..
@cuntdrac As for LiEnucks, this video proves that it's slower at transfering large files. I reckon that 90% of people out there are also still using USB 2.0 to transfer data for now.
Awesome video! The proof is right there in plain sight. The 23 seconds you save definitely outweighs the $100-200 spent on the operating system and completely blows Linux right out of the water! In your face Linux!

@Tununias Eve Online runs a lot faster on Windows 7: bit . ly / gF8Ky4

@TriMiro8107 Haha.
You obviously lack basic understanding of file systems and are not very tech savvy. You say that EXT4 is faster than EXT3? Not in this case:

Ext3 is faster than Ext4 at large file transfer from USB to HDD.

@LiEnucksFAILS You were right, he thinks he is a hacker except he is really a script kiddie, then he talks about how he knows 500 languages, but doesn't write his own hacks!

Lol, LiEnucks even fails at disk performance, because of the slow-as-fuck ext4 file system. NTFS is the best option.
