  • @dalecampbl6 : Uh... not quite. You need to substitute Capitalism with Fascism, then you will be correct with your point. The people who used those quotes used the wrong word which gives a bad connotation to Capitalism. It's fascism. If we had true Capitalism, we would be a very, very wealthy nation...

  • where is mark steyn from? i cant place his accent.

  • @kingserj1 He sounds like an Aussie to me. ? I guess he's lived around the world.

  • @kingserj1 He sounds like an Aussie to me. ? I guess he's lived around the world, but recently he's been in Canada. No idea where he was born. ? (I'm awfully glad he was though. :-)

  • @stockinettestitch Nothing like Aussie, British accent. Aussie is more nasal, mate.

  • @kingserj1 Born in Canada, studied in England, lives in New Hampshire.

  • Europe will not survive "Multiculturalism"! Watch and learn watch?v=icQBBmPho0U

  • this guys 'mark steyn' is fucked. Why he is blaming Obama for everything that the asshole Bush left behind. WTF. this guy is an asshole.

  • @mfat2000 Just what did Bush do?... explain to me please.. besides TARP this economy strarted down when?.. 2007... when your party took control of the house...

what about sub prime lending? community reinvestment act? the major reasons of this decline.. your party creates this crisis and then whines cause they cant fix it

  • America could really use a King or something. Building up the head of government is never a good idea, those pricks are just civil servants and should be treated as such.

  • Anyone else feel like kicking sean hannity's cunt in? i fuckin hate him! CUNT

  • @bigderekkeene Progressives. The philosophy of acceptance. </sarcasm>

  • fox news is one of the only conservative news channels, and thank god for that

  • I have to admit, I always imagined Mark Steyn to look like a really old pasty guy. Not a white Laurence Fishburne.

  • @rleary1

yea that Canadian accent of his was a dead give away...eh

  • Comment removed

  • @rleary1 Obama was raised partly in Indonesia and he is your President. Schwarzenegger lived in Austria untill at least his mid 20s. He is governor of Cali. Use your head and stop being a xenophobe.

However, as a Canadian, I have to formally say that Steyn should shut his fucking mouth about our healthcare. It fucking rocks and you Yanks should do it. Not exactly like ours, I think the French did it best, mix in a little of the English incentive system and Canadian cheapness.

  • @rleary1 Well, you are completely entitled to say whatever you want about Canada. Just so you know. Second, the dynamic is not the same. The USA is the most powerful and influential country in the world. You guys dominate our countries economy, consuming 80% of our trade. Fightin 'round the world. Essentially, the leaders of the west. If we did not try to influence you guys, we would be fucking idiots.

  • Comment removed

  • @rleary1 Maybe. I don't know about all that, but you are our brothers nonetheless. And I think Mark Steyn admires you far more than he dislikes you all.

  • the people believe the American Government can run a war

it appears the American Government is full of retards and the American people are retards for believing in them

  • /watch?v=r4DJzOa9It4

  • Dont let them establish this, my american friends, its allways only the first step: In Germany we have a slightly different system, one that is in general a public system but that has a private option for some people, of which the politicians decided they could afford it. And right now our campaigns from the left are about a "citizen-insurance", which would mean to socialize the last remaining private insurance contracts. If they can take that first step they wont stop running down that road.

  • Thank you and you are correct. The statists/socialists are lusting so intensely for government run health care in America because they know it is the key to eroding and usurping our precious INDIVIDUAL liberty and freedom. A substantial majority of Americans are vehemently opposed to a govt. takeover of healthcare. We know that tort reform, less government regulation and more competition would solve most of the current problems. The left is feigning concern but in reality its a blatant power grab

  • Look up 'fda corruption', first hit on google, naturalnews.

I also can't believe you used the Post Office as an example, when your Messiah himself admitted that UPS and FedEx do a better job.

  • "Socialism ALWAYS fails."

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." -Winston Churchill

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other peoples money. — Margaret Thatcher

"Under the name of liberalism, the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program." - Norman Thomas (6-time presidential nominee)

"Socialism was responsible for up to 200 million deaths in the 20th century."

  • @freeperjim You probably didn't even know about socialism before Glenn Beck started crying about it and if you think the Obama administration has anything to do with socialism I think you need to look it up and study it, Fox news and Glenn Beck aren't very good at explaining things, just giving you some advice. Why should firemen come to your house to put the fire out when it's burning for free ? Isn't that socialism ? And why take health care advice by people payed by private insurance cies ?

  • "Under the name of liberalism, the American people would adopt every fragment of the socialist program." Ronald Reagan in commenting on Socialized health care in regards to 6 time presidential nominee Norman Thomas

  • @freeperjim correct !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @freeperjim the most prosperous countries on earth are socialist at the moment, so I'm not sure how one could say "socialism always fails". socialism wasnt responsible for 200 million deaths. government corruption and greed were responsible for those deaths.

  • "Nobody wants the government running anything that's important to them."...really? So those roads you depend on to get to work, the post office that routes your mail, the bureau of weights and measures that makes sure you don't get ripped off when you buy stuff, the FCC that assigns airspace so you can make calls on your cellphone, the FDA that researches products to ensure safety before you put them in your body....that's all wasteful government spending? Shame on you sir.

  • Thanks for the examples of government involvement. You've totally convinced me that I absolutely do NOT want the government screwing up ANYTHING else, especially as important as Health Care! Thanks again!

  • You fail to provide any evidence of how the government "screws up" these entities. Shall we turn the roads over to the corporations so we can have Interstate 90 Brought to you by Clear Channel? Do you really think the best interest of the general public would be upheld if a corporation were allowed to make a few extra bucks by skimping on the re-bar in a bridge or gas stations were allowed to say "It's a gallon of gas because I said so." Come on. You seem to think unchecked capitalism is perfect

  • Unchecked capitalism? You mean, the unfettered, unhibited free market that brought us to this stage of technology and prosperity? Yeah, it is better!

  • @AdamWersky It has had socialistic aspects for about the last 80 years too.

  • As if Gas prices are ok right now? Yeah, I would prefer free market capitalism to control energy.

We wrote this political philosophy a long time ago. A real long time ago. It was the dopest philosophy we ever wrote...in '76.

  • But do you want a government health plan? No, you don't. Those plans have restrictions on benefits. There are expensive antibody treatments, for cancer and other diseases, which you can't get in the UK because it's too expensive.

  • I wish the free market was responsible for all of those entities, beaster, because then there would be fundamental accountability. Now, we get huge government bureaucratic institutions taxing us tenfold what it would cost us to do a better job without them. They are the middle man in most every aspect of our life--or more to the point, they are the middle man with the power to tax and imprison us. Once a governmental program is in place, it doesn't go away...and most of them should.

  • wait a second. every economist in the world agrees that to run any country on a basic level, u need a centralized government to run public works, legal enforcement, and other programs...the argument is whether healthcare shld be on that list...obviously its not 'wasteful government spending'..just look at any country that doesnt provide (ie) legal enforcement - it cant function. However, right now, the US is functioning perfectly fine, thank u very much
