It is amazing..if you just listen, she does have an adult voice. What a talent. Her voice is not a "pop" voice and not everyone will like the kind of music that suits her, but you have to give credit where it's due. I hope she enjoys her childhood, plenty of time to be an adult.:)

I've loved everything Jackie has sung, except for this song. Seems like she's using opera techniques to form her words and she sounds stilted and rushed. There was a young girl in Britian's Got Talent, Olivia Archbold, who sang it beautifully in a normal voice. At around 2:52 or so her voice breaks. She's a doll and I have her album and listen to her a lot. I think this song was not a good choice for her. Listen to Olivia then listen to Jackie. Huge difference.
This girl is the reason I now adore opera. She's an inspiration and she carries herself well to be so young. She gets even better every time I hear her open her mouth. I adore listening to her sing. She could sing a phonebook and it would sound like an angel's choir. I love her.
The thing that no one ever talks about is that she is able to memorize all of these difficult songs in multiple languages and perform them as if she isn't even trying. This is an evolved human.
Give the girl a chance to grow up. I hate to think that pressure will be brought to bear to force her to go where she shouldn't go. Her voice is bound to change as she gets bigger

Since it is the great David Foster who is mentoring her, perhaps he is having her sing a song like this because it is not such a strain on her young voice.This isn't pop, not even close.There are none better at mentoring than he. @minii74 Yes, it was second place at that time for her, but, since then, she is in first place in a lot of different ways. She has sold more albums than other singers who have been around a lot longer than her and she has done quite a few concerts since AGT. By the way, she has won first place in millions of hearts all over the world and will remain there for a very long time.
She is just a child. To start comparing her career to the greats is just wrong at this point. Give her a few years anyway. As long as she steers clear of pop music, she should be fine. This type of music does her no justice and it comes across as forced. I dont believe there are many opera singers who can sing pop and vice versa. It was not good.

Jackie just turned 11, and without all the years of training you say opera singers must have, she already sings better and more beautifully than most opera singers. Jackie has the most pure and beautiful voice, and has the talent to sing any genre she wants to. As i said, soprano opera is the tops for any singer, and if Pop singers could sing opera, they would not be singin Pop. Believe me!
Celine does Celine, Mahalia does Mahalia, Elvis does Elvis, Michael does Michael, Luciano does Luciano, but none of them can sing a Beautiful Soprano like Jackie. The Soprano and Opera are the absolute tops for any singer, but Jackie will be able to sing any Style of music she wants to. Jackie is incomparable, and will be a Superstar like no other !

David Foster has worked with the very best, and he knows. But the truth is I don't have to have David's endorsement because my ears tell me all I need to know. She is bright, talented, a beautiful child who one day will be a beautiful woman with a career that will span many decades. David Foster does not spend his time with people with no talent, and he has invested so much of his time with this child prodigy that he is almost part of the family. Bravo to them both. Some people measure success in the bling they carry around with them, while these two have been blessed with the success of delighting others.

Jackie just turned 11, and without all the years of training you say opera singers must have, she already sings better and more beautifully than most opera singers. Jackie has the most pure and beautiful voice, and has the talent to sing any genre she wants to. As i said, soprano opera is the tops for any singer, and if Pop singers could sing opera, they would not be singin Pop. Believe me!

Celine does Celine, Mahalia does Mahalia, Elvis does Elvis, Michael does Michael, Luciano does Luciano, but none of them can sing a Beautiful Soprano like Jackie. The Soprano and Opera are the absolute tops for any singer, but Jackie will be able to sing any Style of music she wants to. Jackie is incomparable, and will be a Superstar like no other !

The Soprano and Opera are the absolute tops for any singer - no they are not. I cannot think of one classical singer who was brilliant at pop. It just doesn't happen.

Jackie Evancho is going to impact the music world in the same way that Barbara Streisand did... and Barbara knows it; that's why she agreed to do a duet with her on her new album "Dream with Me"... David Foster has worked with the very best, and he knows. But the truth is I don't have to have David's endorsement because my ears tell me all I need to know.
