I have to agree with everyone good song and prolly great record.Problem is was released a few years late when Grunge Rock was the new king in town.Sadly Foreigner was behind on the times and the new generation wasnt going to embrace this type of music anymore.Had this album came out like 1989-90 yes a hit indeed.Truth is not just Foreigner but there counterparts like Journey,Styx,REO Speedwagon all attempted combacks and were way past their prime.
of time never will i lose this heart´s desire ever will i feed our love´s fire only when i know that you´ll be mine and onnly when i see the light of love shine never will i lose this heart´s desire ever will i feed our love´s fire and when i see the light of love shine in your eyes when they meet mine only then i´ll know it´s you and i until the end of time
only when i know that you´ll be mine until the end of time how do i trust what i´m beginning to feel? how deep my soul? how much can i reveal? i´m lost in love´s mystery i´m caught between time and eternity now there´s a door what opens wide slowly i will find my way and reach inside but i couldn´t make it thru until there was you never will i lose this heart´s desire ever will i feed our love´s fire only when i know that you´ll be mine and only when i see the light of love shine until the end
when i was young and the world belonged to me i thought that love meant pain and jealousy it was a cross on my shoulder oh lord, now i feel so much older ooh time had a way making me see my only life has taken it´s toll on me now i feel emptiness and i don´t want to live like this now i´ve heard stories i´ve heard songs telling me believe my heart won´t wait too long but words they don´t ring true until there was you never will i lose this heart´s desire ever will i feed our love´s fire......
Such a pity that this was recorded during the Mr. Moonlight sessions. 10 years earlier, it'd have been a mega hit on the Agent Provocateur album. The last true unbelieveably good Foreigner song.
It was the night 2nd April 1995 when i heard the Ambulances in the street when i was in bed. The next morning I passed with my bike, heading to work a group of people standing crying on tall burned tree. Thought about nothing until I went to my mother she told me 4 of your friends have died in a fatal car crash. This song became then my mourning song. It still makes me cry. They died so young. Mr. Moonlight is my fav CD from Foreigner.
I remember buying the cassette single of this in 94. I always loved the chord progression at the very end (B, Em, F#, B) and how it's not used in any other part of the song.
I think this song is definitely awesome. I may have been born on the year it came out, but I think Foreigner is one of the best bands I have ever heard.
What I liked about this ballad is that it's a lot different than "Waiting For a Girl Like You" and "I Want to Know What Love Is" yet it's still a great song
I am pretty surprised that you claim this album "would have been a Top 10-20". Just what is it about this album that you think is so deserving of being so high on the Top 100 list? I've read where this album is Foreigner poorest-selling album but yet you claim is a "great record"...how so?
I LOVE THIS SONG! This is one Foreigner song that really tugs at the heart. It's poignant, bittersweet and haunting. This is a masterpiece of a ballad and by far one of the group's best songs. Beautiful!
LOU GRAMM's voice is absolutely MAGIC !!! nobody can replace this great singer - he is still considered as one of the best pop/rock voices for the last 30years !!! GREAT LOU GRAMM !!!

Leave Lou alone, with his health issues. Foreigner is a great group and Lou Gramm is an enigma of the 80's and 90's music genre!
