i don't want to defend Islam here but Mr moshiri although he is a very educated man and patriot to Iran but tries to scape from major problems which made Iran as what you see are these:

1)panaturk:panakurd,panaarab,w­­estern interest are the main enemies of Iran

2) concentrating and humiliating Islam or shia which is a believe is wrong,its personal.and should stay this way but septate from government .

3)if Iran central government goes who guaranties the integrity of Iran from:tork, Kurd, Arab?

Dear Moshiri!

If you believe that anyone instead of the shah could have done better during that period(Cold war, Feodal society, islamic conspiracy,....) then you are wrong, Mosaddegh is far from the best, shah was far from perfect, indeed we should most condemn the shah not for what he did, but for what he did not do, he should be a courageous dictator when the country needed a dictator, he should have anihilated Islaists and clergy. It seems as if you believe Iran is Sweden, you are wrong!

This man is an intellectual with deep knowledge and is respectable, but it is a real same that his total obsessive love to Mosaddegh and his blind hatreds towards Shah, makes him so poor and shallow, i am really sorry he could be a great intelectual, but he fails , his judgments and conclusions, specially the political ones make him a poor source!

@Shahrex Mosadegh and Shah are dead, and Mr. Moshiri did not know either of them personally to hate them or love them. It is what they stand for that he loves or hates.

Mosadegh stood for democracy, freedom, and honesty, and shah stood for despotic rule, censorship, and corruption. These virtues are what he loves and hate respectively.

Today's regime is the massive price of the dictatorship that we are paying, and we must at least learn from our mistakes or we will repeat them.

Mr. Moshiri is a learned man. However, he is misguided about certain things!

You, however, can tap-dance in his worship if you like. mossadegh usurped the constitution. what have you to say about that?!! @Rendenaafarzaaneh LOL, Mosadegh was "brutal" ? in his time not even one person was beaten, tortured or killed and he was brutal? But shah, who himself admitted to at lease killing 3,000 dissidents and torturing countless others are just fine and dandy. He stole billions of dollars is fine too. He is a royal family and he is entitled to do so, right? And when did Mr. Moshiri insulted Iran? I guess in your mind insulting Shah means insulting Iran!

@Rendenaafarzaaneh And Mr. Moshiri has not even insulted Shah, he merely stated his actions, like ignoring the constitution, torturing, beating, imprisoning and killing opposition, destroying freedom of speech and political freedom, stealing money, giving free hand to Mullas, brain washing children by teaching religion false history in schools, and finally running away like a coward, which ended up to this disastrous regime. Stating what shah did is telling the true history not insult.

@artagar So, if you don't like what Shah did, don't blame the messenger, blame the person, who did those actions. Just because you don't like a period of history and what happened, you can not change it by lying or getting upset. What happened has happened, period! Learn from it, don't try to change the past and don't be so emotional. You can not change the past, but you certainly can change the future. We don't need another dictatorship. We tried it, and it doesn't work.
