$70k? Are you going to buy one of those or a Tesla model S for $50k

@3089280288 FWIW the Model S is nearly 60 grand US. So including the 'You're in Australia' tax I'd say it'll be at least 80 grand AUS for the 100 mile version.
In the next few years I'd say battery tech will improve rapidly which is where all the cost is.

@Octamed actually the low Model S model is 160 miles/260 km's not 100 miles

@Octamed It's around 50k. Besides that Mazda is an entry level model. The Teslas is luxurious. Imagine a Mazda 6 price. I'm not in Austalia.
