  • Did you get wierd shaking upon acceleration before you did this?

  • @MyBigDingaLing No, just clicking when I made at turned and accelerated at the same time.

  • im cofused with Drive axle and half shaft. are they the same.????

  • @Fmiguelify Yes, you can call it either one, and you can also call it a CV axle.

  • Nice vid, though it is recommended that you DON'T have the wheel on (especially while supporting the car's weight) when removing the axle nut, you can wreck your bearings.

  • @eulldog I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

  • @RyanDale311 Yeah, The hub and nut center the shaft in the bearings. Also be certain to use a torque wrench as there needs to be tension on the whole assembly or you can blow out the splines inside the hub (learned that the hard way)

  • Do the new subaru cv shafts have the pin that holds the shaft to the trans spline? Like 2003 wrx wagon?

  • @chevyhs I don't know. My Subaru is the only Subaru that I have done.

  • @chevyhs Yes, if you get the shaft from Subaru they do, Also a Number 2 Phillips screwdriver is good for getting the hole centered with the hole on the transmission side before you install the spring pin.

  • thank you!!!

  • good video doin mine tomorrow!
