  • You are dumb. There is an electrified cage around the bulb. The bulb its self is not electrified...

  • greetings cancer!

  • WOW is all there is to say

  • theeeeey'rrrreeee hheeeeeeeerrrrre

  • Looks like it's emitting cancer rays.

  • i guess im like you i just love catching on fire....trust me ive done it b4.......:(

  • But does it blend?

  • put some bugs in there zaaap there dead

  • this was the real reason why the microwave was created....

  • this guy should microwave a water melon for about 10 minutes while siting this close.

  • this guy should micrawave a water melon for about 10 minutes while siting this close.

  • you look shirtless in the reflection off the glass door not wearing any form of facial protection either, is that your professional experimentation environment? i suggest you be very careful not to get killed for youtube videos.

  • @RealityCheckMaster i think its funny he pu his head in side the microwave to blow the flames out when that could ptentialy explode

  • Hey, bugs! You better run away or you'll get zapped and burned! So go fuck somewhere else, bugs!

  • haha what if the whole microwave exploded, that wouldn't be fun.

  • immature

  • 0:26 - 0:47 Better that ThunderBolt of pikachu. =P

  • That dude's either extremely brave or extremely dumb

  • Dont u ever get afraid microwave all these sorts of stuff? I mean arent u afraid to cause a big explosion or open up a portal to a new dimension and cause the whoe universe to collapse?

  • You need to invent a Hydrosonic BOOMblaster..... it can save a magnetron. Oops, I might have said too much.

Marty! Get back into to the time machine!

  • Micro waving food is for morons? Food is heated by microwaves hitting water molecules at a specific frequency, causing them to reach near instant boiling point. Are you not a moron for wasting time on frying random shit in the microwave? Anyone can produce modern art master pieces, I do it every morning in my toilet. Get a life, thanks.

  • touch 0_0

  • theres a rave in the microwave

  • like the neon lol does it come as standard LMAO

  • he would have so much fun with jews.....

  • yaa this one is pretty awesome haha

  • Is that 2 minutes for medium rare bulb and 5 for well done!?

  • holy shit, is that cryptonit? :O

  • cool!

  • holy s**t its a fly party

  • light show!!!!

  • i wouldn't do that with my luck it would blow up

  • thats an 11 Watt uv fluro. 1800 what?

  • lmao how did u ever think to do this lol

  • Woah dude, mega plasma made there. Damn.

  • me2

  • I just realize this is the same idiot who microwaved 100 fail cd's. Wow, your inhaling THESE fumes too? OMG how much of an idiot are you? lol. There are people who do this on youtube also, but they are more responsible than you are, I hope you dont use the disclaimer "Dont try this at home", because obviously you have no idea about safety. That loud buzzing sound usually means you have to turn the wave OFF about that time.... moron....again...

  • lol omg rolf lmao lol lol lol lol

  • He's using a gas mask.

  • @shreddmasterj unlike you he's not an idiot. he's using a gas mask and does this stuff outside. next time try thinking before you speak

  • @Anaconda937

2] Why do you breath so hard?

Awnser: I use a gas mask respirator for safety

  • @MarkQP lol what? also i was joking about being mean there lol

  • gawd then yo open the door stick your head and inhale sooooo much like your getting high then you blow out the flame

  • your pure redneck... "lets microwave a lightbulb see the perty colors? now lets get close and breathe the fumes!"

  • neon vapors are bayud mkkayy??

  • i'm pretty sure we all just witnessed that one color that causes cancer

  • welcome to the disco XD

  • that sounded like a dial up connection

  • pretty colors

  • BLUE LIGHT! RAAAAAAAAAAVE!

  • Better get behind your tinfoil shielding. Nobody likes roasted nuts!

  • Microwaves actually cannot roast your nuts; the radiation from a microwave is not ionizing like X rays or gamma rays are. Actually, microwaves are normally completely harmless; a microwave oven works because the microwaves are all bounced around a confined space.

  • I was just making a reference. Gimmie a break.

  • @mattboy1152 well, one ton microwaving robot was here later. or maybe he runned away far away the microwave

  • So...

    Are you gonna eat that?

  • that was truly awesome your microwave must be like radioactive or something. XD

  • microwave must ahev been 1100 watts... lol. The bulb required 1800. XD

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHA IT CAUGHT ON FIRE

  • why don't you put a dozen eggs in there and watch the fun? We'll throw a couple in the 7-11 and turn it on and leave - boom. egg all over pissed clerk now.

  • this is better then "is it a good idea to microwave this" cuz this guy dosent stand around with all the flabber jabber that they got, and also, he has the nust to stand up right in front of the microwave, no tinfoil shield shit.

  • You said that the lamp is a 1800 watt , don't you think about it is a 20/32 watt FL ?

  • On youtube look up Is it a good idea to microwave this

the account name is jpizzle I think

there entire youtube channel is dedicated to microwaving random crap.

  • They've done that now. Just a couple weeks ago they microwaved a bulb like that.

  • you should microwave a tiny person

  • That lamp itself if only probably about 20 watts. Its a standard lamp thats fitted in many lights these days, only difference here is the colour of light.

Touching this bulb will not result in electrocution when running. How can glass electrocute you? A bug zapper has a high voltage (a few thousand volts, low amp) steel mesh around the lamp. THIS will electrocute you.

Also, I find a 1800w bug zapper hard to imagine. What would be the point? 20w lamp and a couple of watts for the mesh.

  • yeah i always thought the bulb was to attract them.....if it was 1800 then it would cook them long before they could touch it

  • WTF that shit whistled for a second lmao! 00:49

  • Did anybody notice how many microwaves this guy has?

  • all from the donations

  • yea I know, eh XD

  • you should microwave a piece of dog poos

  • WHOA!

  • microwave a bar of soap! IT IS AWESOME!!!

  • omg XD

  • You guys rock

  • Remember, microwaving food is for morons. xD

  • microwave a microwave man

  • dude thats cool, why do microwaves light up the bulb?

  • Because microwaves cook using friction, friction created by electricity, and everyone know electricity is used to power lightbulbs, but the heat is damaging the bulb, which is why it turned yellow and flashed.

  • It gets damaged by overcharge BTW.

  • Fail, Microwaves cook using radiation. Get your facts straight ;)

  • the bulb opperates by shooting electrons through mecury vapor which then heads through phosporus to produce visible light.... when you stick it in a microwave, its doing the same thing but the electrons are produced by a magneto instead of an energised cathod

  • so basically what your seeing is the mecury vapor getting excited(blue), then it collects and frys(white) and then once its dried, the cathods at the end burn up(yellow) after that, any stray metal will arc and try (the white flashes and buzzing)

  • A tesla generator does exactly the same

  • Comment removed

  • You are aware that there is Mercury vapour involved here, and phosphorous?

  • try to microwave a microprocessor!

  • -approaches teh light-

  • I feel strangely drawn to it!

  • I kno! Its sucking me in! I want to touch it...

  • how about microwave a laser coil?

  • ghetto strobe light hahaha

  • Open it up and then Cough Cough Cough

Is that how you usualy put fires out?

  • Hehe it's so nifty how you try to act all funny when you can't even spell usually

  • I hope you know that the tube in a bug zapper is just a fluorescent light. It's an electrified screen which does the zapping. The light just attracts the bugs like any other light does.

  • wow that'll get rid off the bugs....

  • I'd be so afraid to stand infront of the microwave door in case it blew open at me.

    Cool video!!!

  • FIIIREEEEEEEE XD

  • mine did that once i pu tin foil in there and it kept flashin blue..i gt scared lol

  • cool

  • R.I.P. camera man. it gave him lung cancer at the end of this film. (*cough*cough)

  • what happends if it exploded?

  • pretty colors. at least ur doing this in ur garage

  • it's a florescent bulb

  • haha one of the more interesting videos of microwaving random shit, bravo

  • Zker666, if you like the 150+ microwaving videos by Jpizzle1122 then you will like the 300+ microwaving videos by dOvetastic. I like Jpizzle, however it's not nice to spam.

  • imagine putting ur finger in that thing

  • wow its like July 4th in that microwave!

    nice dude!

  • rave party

  • wow that is so weird that the bugzapper turns on in the microwave

  • epic win

  • PARTY IN THE MICROWAVE!!!

  • It's safe to say you keep doing this without protection you will die. Get some kind of protection please =].

  • awesome result

  • cool the light in the microwave were disrupted and where of KEWL

  • 1:20 reminded me of the terminator salvation music

  • cool light show and noise.

  • Wow....

  • AT 2:07 U sounded like u freaked out! LOL

  • haha that looks so cool

  • When it makes that sound it is time to move away.

  • blinded by the light, oooooo the colors

  • Comment removed

  • He's with gass mask, ASS HOLE !

  • the bulb itself is only 35 or 40 watts

  • lawl SWEET RAVE PARTY!

  • haha in the beginning i hope you dont have epilepsy

  • "When it operates touching it would result in instant electricution."

No. The light is just the attractant. Inside the zapper, the light is surrounded by an electrified mesh. Touching the bulb if the mesh were removed would just hurt your finger because it would be so hot.

  • nice light show I like it, and the bulbs themselves will not electrocute you but in a bug zapper the bulb is surrounded by an electrified grid thats charged with i think 4,000 volts but maybe more and the bug flies in and touches the grid and the bug's body completes the circuit, the results crispy bug delight.

  • lol, kryptonite wtf... Kewl gr33n gl0w.

  • I thought "he's standing kinda close - what if that explodes violently?" Then at the end when it was on fire, he opened it up and immediately stuck his head in to blow out the flame. I think Darwinism will soon strike him down! LOL

  • Hehe Darwinism will strike him down ... good one!

I must use that phrase now if you don't mind :)

  • damn now all you need is some insane techno music pumping in the background

    its a disco

  • holy shit dude

  • You should protect your nuts!

  • lol, because quote "nobody likes rosted nuts" unquote from jpizzle

  • Remember, Microwaving 1800 Watt Insect Zappers is for morons...

  • Remember, microwaving 1800 Watt Insect Zappers is for morons...

  • Did you grow a third ball afterwards?

  • THAT IS SOOOO MEAN!

i could hear it sreaming! tht is awful

  • oh noes i found another video without the quote in the description: Remember, microwaving food is for morons.

  • 1800 watts for a fluorescent based bulb? Wow.

  • Its like a wannabe will it blend, by darth vader.

  • it must of smelt really bad

  • i'm...having....a...seasure

  • Seizure..

  • thank you

  • :O i see a beautiful light! O.O

    *touches it* BLOWS UP

    X.X---(WHY!)

  • to dovetastic the lightbulb is not what kills the bugs its the metal fence around the bulb.get your facts straight

  • when your bored...wat do you do

    microwave random crap

  • @_@ ooo...preety light, I am strangely drawn to it...BzZzZzZt! X_X

  • how many microwaves have you one through?

  • i cant believe that you stuck your head in there, and took like three deap breaths to blow that out..... what will happen to your lungs man! wear a mask or something!

  • That's defiantly the better fly zapper right there.

  • did you remember to put it on low power, it might have stayed lit

  • what are u ghetto? instead of wasting money burning a zapper why not do something useful and buy a new microwave

  • Wait a minute... is that microwave sitting on a wooden stump?

  • that was pretty

  • Twilight microwave

  • Sounds like dial-up.

  • why does it light up like that

  • Radio waves. 2.4 Ghz to be exact.

  • Dat was coolness I'm SHOCKED get it shocked it's a bug zapper hahahaha.

  • ~smacks~

  • what is ~smacks~ sopposed to mean that I should know about hmmmmm?

  • increible

  • Its surprising how he even managed to turn on the microwave.

  • Actually it's not the bulb that zaps insects, it's the metal cage.

  • and the Bulb is what atracts them

  • it lit on fire
