  • If I had a million dollars I would send you $100,000 of it right now! You have SO changed my life. I have been raw vegan for three days now. I have never succeeded at raw until your emphatic videos. The reason being that I wasn't getting enough carbs and STARVING! Your videos made me realize I NEED the carbs I was craving- that's why I was craving them! I feel so liberated. Exercise is much easier just within three days.   • Yes the B12 issue keeps coming up. About 40% of people are B12 deficient and less than 5% of people are vegetarians. The problem is as you age you loose your ability to absorb B12 from food. This is called atrophic gastritis which means the stomach secretes less hydrochloric acid, pepsin and intrinsic factor that are needed to absorb B12. This is very common in people who hit middle age. All people should take B12 regardless of whether you are a vegan or meat eater.

As for Ammenorhea, or absent periods with continuing ovulation, do you happen to know anyone on the LFRV lifestyle who ovulates every month, and doesnt have a montlhy period? I hope you can shine some light on the subject, as noone has really been able to answer me before. Ive looked on 30BaD, but i dont see too much on the subject. Thanks! - Kristi

    How much research have you actually done on nutrition and is it all a one-sided view or have you researched a variety of sources...? Have a look at the composition of human breast milk. I'm sure you'd agree with me that babies need optimum nutrition in the first few months especially as they are rapidly growing and forming new tissues and muscles..so you'd think they'd need a lot of protein right?  Well breast milk is only approx 1% protein...same compostion as fruit

  • Haha I like your approach and humour. I'm vegan but am finding it difficult to transition to only raw food. The information is certainly enlightening, as are your results. Doctors are always trying to tell me to include meat and dairy (go figure) and naturopaths are always trying to get me to buy their supplements..everything is about money and profit unfort. Love your advice at the end of the video :)

    I hope you answer this! First, wasn't your b12 level way too high? is there something wrong with that?

    Second, I have been trying to go raw vegan for a while and I cannot last longer than a day. I am ovo lacto vegetarian... but when I go raw at the end of the day my tongue feels extremely stiff (like I can barely talk), my head is spinning, I even start shaking and trembling. What is this?

    Should I try fasting a couple of days before going raw to "flush" the fat out of me? thnx

    Hey there i believe the symptoms you're describing is your body detoxing. I wouldn't recommend going straight into a fast but instead try to slowly increase the amounts of raw foods you add daily so the detox symptoms are less jarring :)

    thats nice for you, but I just have to say this diet still wouldt work for some people, cause that probably has to do with bloodtype.

    your an A i guess (vegetarians) and as 45% of the rest of the world are 0's and schould live of animal products, they would get a vitamin b deficiency and just get really unhealthy, but with your huge quantitys of vegetables and fruits and beacause your blood type, you got away with it and its probably an ' oke' lifestyle for you.

    b deficiency avoided on animal products? i dont think so and if you look around you will see that there is more b deficiencys in meat eaters than vegan. vegans just get tested more so it look like they have.

    omega 3? fruits and veg provide ample. flax and chia provide maybe too much.

    Don't think people are always "giving you a hard time". Some (like me) just want to exercise your mind. I want to hear explainations of "why" you are right, not just that "your right".

    As for saturated fat, search google for "guts and grease" and click on the first result. Saturated fat being bad for you is a myth.

    As far as supplementation...pretty dumb idea...if you have to supplement a vital nutrient....somethings off.

  • Thanks man, and I see how saturated fats are needed, I know what roles they play in our bodies, the only problem is that people get waay too much saturated and trans fats nowadays and not enough of the others, what you need is not just the fat, but a balance of the fats, so that everything runs smoothly. Yes you need saturated fats, but there are different varieties, the fat in coconut oil is slightly different then one in fish, and react differently.

  • Too much saturated fats can still cause deposits and that combined with other issues can create problems...It's not the fat that is the enemy, it's our diet on the whole for the most part...And yes supplementing shouldn't be needed but alas, not all of us are as healthy as we should be and don't get what we need, voila, supplementation...not the best way to do it, but if you need it, you need it..

    Getting food poisoning from seafood is a modern thing...caused by things like run off from commercial slaughter houses...look it up. Basically everything wrong with fish these days is due to pollution, not the actual fish being bad for you.

  • You don't NEED the fish, we can take algae supplements and enzymes and balance our intakes of omegas...just because you get the most EPA and DHA from fish, doesn't mean it's the healthiest way to get it...And it's stupid that you said saturated fats help the conversion rate of omegas to EPA n DHA, it's one of the things that harm it the most, that and trans fats...not to mention the disgusting ways they farm fish and other animals, they DONT feed them properly...

  • Yea we need these fatty acids, but nobody will tell you that Omega-3s ALL get turned into a little bit of EPA and DHA when they are digested, none of us get enough tho, so not enough gets turned into them, fish are the best sources for straight up EPA n DHA, but if you got enough Omega-3s period, you would also have enough of those, hemp seed(or oil), flax seed(or oil) and walnuts are fucking wicked sources, that wil convert into those fatty acids in your system

  • Wow, don't call people ignorant if you are ignorant yourself..Think of it like this, saturated fats stick together and form sticky bonds, polyunsaturated fats do not, even in cold temps..saturated fats WILL clog your arteries because of this if you eat too much, polyunsaturated are the good ones. You don't need fish to get EPA and DHA, if you get enough Omega-3s, they will convert into EPA n DHA inside of you, if you don't hav enough, take a supplement for a while...just don't be ignorant, peace

    saturated fat is not bad for you and does not cause heart disease. that is a myth. it is in fact the polyunsaturated vegetable oils(omega 6s) that cause problems especially when they are heated at high temps and they become denatured. it is the processed mad-crafted foods along with other unhealthy lifestyle choices that cause heart disease.

    several indigenous peoples ate high sat fat diets and had almost no disease of any kind.

  • thats right jen. both me and my raw meat eater mate clinton, had low levels. Clinton still eats his daily raw animal products and he is gonna start doing supps if his next b12 test is low. Clinton has been eating raw animal for 4-5 years. Still got low b12 according to his last blood test mid last year.

  • Cool stuff Harley, have you looked into a bacterial based B12? It's more "raw" and absorbable since it's real and not a petroleum based isolate. Check out the LifeGive brand "B12 Forte".

  • If you're buying the isolated B12 in a health food store from the common supplement companies, they are synthesizing it in a lab. At places like the Hippocrates Health Institute they have noticed that the body doesn't absorb and utilize these forms of it very easily and it in fact is a burden to the immune system since it has to clear it out.
