@Gorsung: Sorry I couldn't fit everything in one comment due to the character limit. As for the 10 years late part, Behemoth have been around for 18 years, so they WERE one of the originators. Nergal founded the band when he was a teenager, and they played pure black metal up until Pandemic Incantations. Pretty much everything has been done before in music in general anyways, you kind of just have to judge each album on it's own merits.
@Gorsung: I understand why you might think that, but I think the term "mainstream" is thrown around waaay too loosely in metal circles. Believe me, I'm an audio conservatory graduate, and I know plenty about the music industry. Shit like this isn't mainstream by a fucking LONGSHOT. They play their own instruments (a lot of mainstream pop groups use studio musicians), they record what THEY want and not what the record label tells them to record, and they don't get regular radio play.

I don't condone hates crimes against the church (I think things such as church burnings are horrible things) but they are entitled to preach what they want.
Also. Bringing in quotes from Jesus may have meaning to those who believe. But not to those who deny his existence.

Everything has meaning, Death metal is a religion in itself.. Music that centers around the doom and gloom but God does wish for us to have heaven on earth, its all up to us... @Gorsung: Sorry I couldn't fit everything in one comment due to the character limit. As for the 10 years late part, Behemoth have been around for 18 years, so they WERE one of the originators. Nergal founded the band when he was a teenager, and they played pure black metal up until Pandemic Incantations. Pretty much everything has been done before in music in general anyways, you kind of just have to judge each album on it's own merits.

Believe me, I'm an audio conservatory graduate, and I know plenty about the music industry. Shit like this isn't mainstream by a fucking LONGSHOT. They play their own instruments (a lot of mainstream pop groups use studio musicians), they record what THEY want and not what the record label tells them to record, and they don't get regular radio play.

@Rmm82...Jesus suffered in the Garden...He mentally suffered this agony before he was condemned to the cross....Our God does know the mental pain as well as the physical...He did not endure this so that we would NOT have too...He endured it as an example for us and an offering for our sins...So that we could be reconciled with the Father...So in our pains and suffering we just have to look to the cross and see true love and unite our pains and sufferings to that cross and it makes it bearable.
