The queer noir crime here is to have associated the name of a great philosopher to a bunch of stuff to which his thinking has no association. This does nothing to illuminate Foucault's thinking and works as innuendo, against him. I'm well aware Foucault was gay and frequented leather bars...That's not to the point. The point is many people do only understand Foucault as having been an advocate of dark sex crime--this only reinfores that misconception.
