Sometimes I wonder if all of the alternative parties should have a convention together to try to achieve common ground...and then mount really formidable campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels. A united third party would actually become one of two parties...the NWODemoCons being the other. I have a dream...that one day...candidates will not be judged by the color of their states...but by the contents of their Constitutional Report Cards. I have a dream! Free at last! Free at last!
I definately agree that we should all work together as dedicated citizens to solve problems on all levels, but maybe not join as one party as that would then mean that many would have to compromise their positions.
When we become more aware and can solve our own personal and local issues, the bigger issues will fall into place faster and make many government positions obsolete. For example people learning about financing would have prevented many forclosures.

Baldwin is one of the most authentic right wing conservatives in America. In terms of recent presidential hopefuls, he is second only to Ron Paul in my opinion. Liberals are authoritarian and pro-government while conservatives have their roots in libertarianism, federalism (State's rights), and individual liberty. Neoconservatives that now run the Republican Party or have been elected (Bush, Cheney) are not authentic conservatives by any definition. They are big government, war hawks like Obama.
Although Ron Paul lies in my sympathies, I'm no libertarian. I'm a national-conservative that opposes individualism and stresses family, God and Country (nation).
Libertarianism is a branch of (classical) liberalism. The interesting part of course, is that, (American) libertarianism has an alliance with conservatism in both actions and ideas.
SturmUnDrang, true paleoconservatice libertarianism is the exact same thing as "classical liberalism" and neither have anything to do with the term "liberal" in the modern sense. If you try to seperate "classical liberalism" from what we call "conservatism" then you will end up with fascism. Your opposition to individualism is nothing short of fascism. Classical liberalism (which our founding fathers followed) has to be the basis of our American nationalism.
Wrong. Liberalism came from the French Revolution along with socialism. It were the egalitarian tabula rasa ideologies that wanted to wipe out Christian heritage and traditional values like Family, God and Country. It's true though that libertarianism and especially in America has incorporated several (social)conservative viewpoints, especially anti-egalitarianism. No, you are the one that is wrong friend. Classical liberalism (in the American sense) has absolutely nothing at all to do with the French Revolution, it is based on Baptist-Calvinist principles of liberty and English Common law. You are so confused it is almost funny. Classical liberalism (libertarianism), in no ways supports forced "equality" or anything like that you. And American "classical liberals" were the chief people expounding laissez-faire capitalism.
The individual lies in the interest of liberalism and has never been that of true conservatism. Only neoconner's claim that. Combined with their globalist capitalist bankster agenda it's a perfect tool against nations worldwide. Anyhow. I also recommend you to read Roger Scruton, another traditional conservative.
The keyconcepts to conservatism are tradition, human imperfection and inequality, property, organic society (not individualism!) and authority.
"Classical Liberalism" of which the founding fathers of America proposed is all about the virtues of private property ownership and free market capitalism so I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. "Classical Liberalism" also supports the rule of law, it does this by setting up a Constitution as the authority of the land and not some pope controlled monarchy.
I never thought it would be possible for me to consider a religious candidate to the presidency! It is a wonderful thing to see that we do have choices in America. Vote third party!
Most of the people who whine and cry about the fact hes a Christian are just Cranky spoiled Anti Religious Bigots.
If George Washington could vote in this election, hed be voting for Chuck ! hes a real true honest freedom loving constitution endorsing patriot, thats what matters
Interesting comment, because I am atheist and I would still be very proud to have Chuck Baldwin as our president. I may not agree with all of his views based on christianity but I respect him. Atheists just dont want someone who is going to center their campaign and our nations direction in a religiously biased manner and using "God" as justification. But I like how Chuck Baldwin respects constitutional rights while still staying true to his moral convictions.
Dude let me tell you something, your name here should be BRILLIANTMUSICIANN, you get it where most people dont and cant seem to comprehend the most simple of concepts.
Truth is i am a Principled Independent Constitutional Conservative, and i have NO respect for Obama or Biden, nor anyone who would ever commit such a National travesty by Voting for either Fraud.
However, i deeply Respect NADER and all those who are voting for him, Hes an Honest , Intelligent Man of character and heart
Is it strange that I've found a party with whom I believe in everything they stand for? In today's country, that is very strange. These people are not weirdos - they simply reflect our constitutional history. Since most people today have been taught to see through the eyes of either the Dems or Republicans, anything that is different is deemed weird. Americans are thirsting for a refreshing change, and all that is needed is to go back to the country we were initially founded to be.
We need Americans to begin to vote differently if anything is going to change, as Mccain and Obama will do Nothing just more of same insanity and corruption.
Pot politics is the same as 9/11!?!? Wow, didnt realize what kind of intelligence I was communicating with. I suggest you save you "medicine" for someone at your IQ level.
Further more, this conversation I started has to do with Chucks confidence and attitude, not the subject (cannabis)itself.I admire your effort to turn my question against me but in order to do that you need to understand what your talking about first. Lastly, if you dont think its an "important thing" to debate, your wrong.
I am on a crossroads right now between going with Dr. Paul's endorsement Baldwin or saving the nation from McCain by helping out Obama even though I DO NOT want him to win because he is for the NWO and his plan is sort of bogus... The good of saving the nation from McCain almost outweighs the logical choice of voting for Chuck. So my choice is pending.. What do you think? and who r u voting 4?
I was thinking like that but Obama is so bad on gun control & abortion I'm not even confident that he's the lesser evil. I'm not confident that it's worth it so I'll be voting for who I think is best.
I came across a very good point that was made by the new mayor of NYC yesterday on CNN.I already knew this but many ppl aren't taking this into serious consideration. He said something like, "Right now is not the time to choose the president with intention to fix abortion and other smaller problems. Our choices are intentionally limited and with that being said, we need to choose a leader that has the most effective solution to our current global financial crisis." Its more serious than ppl think
He didn't sound very confident when speaking about cannabis laws.
"Its a state issue" (should be left up to the states)....
I know its a touchy subject but to have no stance or plan on a needed legislation that would free billions of $ from the justice department/ unneeded anti-drug departments.?
Still following Ron Paul's endorsement but Chuck doesn't seem to have the attitude and leadership quality's that Dr. Paul possesses.
What's the problem. "It's a states issue" is the correct position. Let the various states work out their own laws regarding the herb. Chuck probably doesn't smoke dope, but he probably is aware that it is a very touchy and politically dangerous subject, as well as being a great source of oil and fiber!
Oh, come on. With all the really important things we have to campain on, and you want to worry about one man's opinion of marijuana? I'd sure hope you wouldn't expect me to jump on out there and throw my body on a political grenade like marijuana. I don't expect chuck to do that either. That's probably why Ron Paul never said much about 9-11. He probably knows it was an inside job but saying so is political suicide. Pot politics ain't that much different.
it is too bad that all of the 3rd party candidates can't get together and come up with a single candidate who represents all of their core values. this division makes them easier to defeat.
That will not work because they differ alot on other issues such as illegal immigration, enviromental regulation and so forth. For example, the purpose of Ron Paul supporting the canidacy of the Independent, Libertairian, Constitution, and the Green Party is to take the focus off of the two major parties and let people know that they do have a real choice of canidates that have substance to there positions rather than voting for politics as usual.
if the 3rd party candidates can get enough support to be on the ballot, they should not be excluded from the debates. these 2 party debates really piss me off. it insults our collective intelligence to presume that americans can't make a decision if there are more than 2 choices.
great comment ! I dont understand why we as a Nation put up with a few elitist totally out of touch individuals acting as dictators telling us NO, you cant have who you want in the debates, WE will decide for you and WE will only 'give' you 2 choices and you all will like it.
who the hell put these people in charge ? The 'election commission' that puts forth the rules for these debates is a total fraud and they do NOT represent us ! THIS HAS TO CHANGE . Its our country
The solution is simple, just educate and inform as many Truth seeking Open Minded Americans as we can that they do have more and superior choices !
Once i found out about 3rd parties, thats all i needed to be convinced , i will Never vote lesser of 2 evils, it makes no sense when we all have such excellent choices out there !
Its great the diversity of thought and Opinions the various 3rd parties give us, we need that. What needs to change is how the 'avg' American approaches voting !
So true, quietstorm, we need fourth parties, fifth parties, sixth, seventh... and then maybe there would be a real debate, instead of two liars stroking each other's rotten shriveled balls.
I agree with most of what you say, but "Religion" needs to be left off the platform. All this talk about "God sent us on a mission" Who's God? My God sure as hell doesn't want WAR and Murder....this country is full of a bunch of redneck, right-wing, nut jobs!!!
Religion YES needs to be left out THAT's what RP did. I was really respectful of him for doing so. I AGREE, I AGREE. The country's going to hell in a handbasket whether we elect McSane or "walks on water" Obama.
the Abortion issue I think is really small ,you Know I dont think President can just illegalize abortion ...most republicans are pro-life dont forget ..and abortions have not been bannished the last 8 years ...so ..whats abortion ..when we no longer have rights ? dont mean much its a very small issue as is his being a pastor. What matters is he wants to turn Washington around and he is for the rights of the people.
Baldwin is an Ideal Candidate, its shameful and pathetic that such a good man is so little known . You tell other Voters about him and all they say is
'but hes not popular, i have to vote for someone whos popular !
The American people are Morons, sadly hardly anyone anymore votes on Intellectual substance its nothing more than a pathetic ridiculous Popularity contest. Dress up Mickey Mouse and give him a high rating in the polls, and Most americans would vote for him.
Voting for this unknown will just throw your Vote to McSame...so good idea, let the country to continue to fall apart or become the catalyst for WWIII!!!
Yes of course he had a better chance than any of the others BUT you know the deal. So, we're not going to get everything we want from one person (and for some not even RP) but these current 3rd party candidates agree with the TOP issues that are not being addressed by the O'Cain. McBAMA whatever.
Nader is known. Cynthia McKinney is known. MAYBE not to the masses because of the corporate owned media. BUT that should stop us from sending a message to the establishment. ALSO, I'm an independent. I get the deal with this charade WAR, BANKERS, etc.
Exactly so something radical must happen, the sheep are too used to being spoon fed lies on the Corporate owned media. Things cannot change unless there is serious revolution against the machine. It is broken...
I agree with all of Ron Paul's messages that I have heard, but one thing I find disturbing is the anti-abortion platform...? They are for individual rights, but this is a big contrast.
How is that disturbing? They are respecting the individual rights of the baby. It doesn't disturb you that they are killing a baby? What if your mom, when she was pregnant with you, decided that giving birth to and raising you was going to be an "inconvenience"? Aren't you glad that your mom was thinking about you rather than herself? You're correct, Paul respects individual rights, including those of the unborn. Are you saying that unborn babies don't have any rights?
I feel it should be a woman's decision. There are millions of abortions performed...what do you think we should do with all the unwanted babies?? Abortion is a moral issue not a political issue. Hence, leaving the moral obligation up to the individual.
That's the most ignorant argument I've ever heard. Using that argument, one could say that ANY murder, or rape, or child abuse, or assault, is a moral issue, not a political issue, and all of those laws against those acts are stupid because we should leave the moral obligation up to the individual. Those laws are based on "morals" also. If we don't have laws that protect people from violence, we have anarchy. What if someone else's morals are looser than yours and they think its OK to kill you?
There are millions of people that would be happy to adopt those babies, rather than see them aborted. It costs a whole lot of money to adopt a child here in the USA. If my wife and I had the money, we would do that. If there were so many babies up for adoption in the USA, people would not have to go to China to adopt. If the people that are getting abortions didn't want to have a baby, they should not have been having sex without some kind of birth control or should not have sex at all.
"leaving the moral obligation up to the individual" But why should I as a taxpayer pay for it. REASONS GIVEN FOR ABORTIONS: AGI SURVEY, 2000-2001: not using contraception...46.40%. COME ON!! I have to pay for someone cause they didn't want to be responsible. REASONS GIVEN FOR ABORTIONS: AGI SURVEY, 2004: For rape and incest: ~1% (for those who like to use this argument as thought it's the #1 reason)
Oh but your ok with paying billions for an illegal war. Anyhow in my state, state funded abortions are non existent. We have the right to vote in our state representatives still so vote.
We were talking about Abortion. Where are you coming from with WAR?!! Did I say I was OK with paying billions for an illegal war? NO! As a matter of fact, I'M AGAINST this illegal WAR for your information. RELAX!
Oh I am relaxed. You and your right-wing nut, pro-life nut-jobs, are going to be the end of the US! Just get over it, abortion will never be illegal. There are too many idiots who do not use protection, and do you actually want these people contributing more to the already messed up gene pool???
You don't come across as relaxed. Labeling me as if you know me. I didn't say I was PROLIFE. If you want a million abortions GO AHEAD pay for it yourself or go to Planned Parenthood (PP). PP is a nonprofit organization you're PROCHOICE, donate to help others get their abortions and an education on contraceptives. I was merely explaining why people might choose to be PROLIFE like Ron Paul or this Baldwin person it doesn't make them a NUT I was NOT judging their beliefs.
I stand corrected, but I seriously think that abortion should not even be brought up at a presidential election. This was a huge reason (in my po dunk town) Many voted for Bush, because of his pro-life views...but the chimp can go and kill millions, nice. Be ashamed USA.
The only reason I see it addressed is because of Federal funding. BUT as a "moral" issue, I concur with you. That might be tricky since it's a "hot button" topic used to persuade the Sheeple and extremists on both ends. TO make it looks like there's really a difference. You saw the debates, maybe. THEY asked the most dumbass questions. I was so sick. RP handled himself like the champ that he is.
Yes, I watched some of the debates. I have chosen to "tune out" of the cable. I have no desire to allow my children to become brainwashed by them. They get enough, in the public school they go to, where about 95% are Right wing Bush supporters. Of course there teachers are not, but it is sickening, in this day and age to allow, creationism in school. When I was in school (years ago lol)we were taught evolution, and a very brief discussion on this. So many arguments happened with the class!!
Personally, I don't understand why people become so upset at the idea of Evolution as we know it today. "We didn't come from monkeys." That's not even the theory. They don't understand that we can't evolve with something that coexists with you.
lol my high school is 95% al gore/obama worshiping idiots, but then again, im in southern California so I guess its not a surprise, the sad thing is, nearly no one knows anything about people like barr, balwin , or even ron paul, and the teachers here definitely try to enforce there liberal ideas on kids, even when I agree with them its rather sickening, for teachers to do that in school.
I agree they need to just keep there pie holes shut about politics in school. It is the dumbing down of America. Media, religion, and the US government, love the masses to be dumb. Easier to control!
"individual rights" that would the unborn baby's individual right to life. That's their view. Ron Paul is an OB/GYN & has delivered over 4,000, I could understand why he would feel strongly about this. Also, he's personally seen a partial-birth abortion where the baby was born alive & they let it die on a tray. He's against Federal level would prefer to keep it in the States level. SHould I pay for something I don't believe in. If you believe in it "DONATE" to Planned Parenthood.
When this man talks about true national defense, he makes a lot of sense. I agree with him on this completely. He also makes sense on medical marijuana.
Bob Barr is a phony. Alex Jones doesn't trust him. Bob Barr is against White people. He is a neocon in disguise. Vote chuck Baldwin and support Ron Paul's campaign for liberty. Down with the Mexican invasion. Support the troops by bringing them home, and putting them on the Southern border. Go Chuck go.
Everyone go and join Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, to elect Libertarians into Congress.
THAT is the real issue. None of these small candidates will ever become President.
If you can elect true people into Congress, then all these phoney war bills etc will NOT be signed in.
America has had it so good for so long that the general public has never considered running for office or getting involved in Congress. Now is the time to do exactly that. All of Congress is bought and paid for.
Exactly LiquidMetalBand. Entirely too much emphasis is placed on the Presidency. Senators and Congressmen are where "change" will be enacted. A single Senator can make a big difference and ten or twenty Congressmen can make a difference.
Okay did you know that Bob Barr is a former C.I.A. agent and corgis man with a crappy voting rector such as, voting for the USA Patriot act and the War in Iraq. So why do you trust Bob Barr if he was in the C.I.A. and a voting record like that?
i know all of that .. but you know that some people see the light and change. i think he has..why else would he go to the libertarian party who have never got any votes or exposure
If I kill sum one will you trust me for say...... A president? Bob Barr may have change but then hagen we don't know that. Bob Barr is a former C.I.A. Agent he could still be working for them. Bob Barr has not shone me and allot of people that he can be trusted for a Libertarian president. Why should eny one trust him if he voted for the War and the Patriot act?
oh,, he "saw the light". you can't be serious. barr is just an opportunist who has hijacked the libertarian party and now is trying to hijack the ron paul movement. he has done way too much in his political career to help the neocons steal away our freedoms, to be forgiven so easily. and he still isn't right on the issues even now. his "fair tax" will be no better than the income tax. this is "smoke and mirrors". beware !
Barr mite want to do good. But he has not proven him self to be an L.P. If Barr is president and douse what he ses he will do then I would vote for him. But until then I don't trust him.
no we don't need to get THIS "libertarian" elected. why did the LP nominate this clown when they had some real libertarians running, like Christine Smith?? and why did Christine Smith walk out on the that sellout party? she ain't no fool and was probably the smartest one at the LP convention. vote baldwin because he solid in his support for everything ron paul stands for.
Chuck is clearly an excellent superior Candidate ! If this country was honestly Sane, Men like this would run away with the election and win in a landslide !
How a man of virtue , intelligence, consistency and Values can be so far behind in support of 2 utter complete frauds like Obama and Mccain is beyond Pathetic.
America wake up !! This Man has your best interests at heart, he is a real down to earth avg. guy who understands Our People from sea to shining Sea.
I was a huge supporter of Ron Paul, however, I could never vote for a constitution party candidate. Not only are they against euthanasia (the right for an individual to die on their own terms), but they also want the government to censor anything the evangelicals consider pornography, and should ban all gambling. This party is 2 marks more socially conservative than jerry falwell.
Laws on drugs is the first step in the direction to government saying you can't eat sugar. It's all going to happen in time unless somethings done soon.

Yeah, yeah. Still, there is also such a thing like liberal-conservatism like that of de Toqueville and Jefferson.
But you're right, though, the US is founded by liberals.

ccantwe1 3 years ago
I never thought it would be possible for me to consider a religious candidate to the presidency! It is a wonderful thing to see that we do have choices in America. Vote third party!

Most of the people who whine and cry about the fact hes a Christian are just Cranky spoiled Anti Religious Bigots.
If George Washington could vote in this election, hed be voting for Chuck ! hes a real true honest freedom loving constitution endorsing patriot, thats what matters
BALDWIN FOR PRES

Interesting comment, because I am atheist and I would still be very proud to have Chuck Baldwin as our president. I may not agree with all of his views based on christianity but I respect him. Atheists just dont want someone who is going to center their campaign and our nations direction in a religiously biased manner and using "God" as justification. But I like how Chuck Baldwin respects constitutional rights while still staying true to his moral convictions.
But, Ralph Nader gets my vote.

Lastly, if you dont think its an "important thing" to debate, your wrong.
kevowillis 3 years ago
so who r u voting for ?
AutoYorn1 3 years ago
I am on a crossroads right now between going with Dr. Paul's endorsement Baldwin or saving the nation from McCain by helping out Obama even though I DO NOT want him to win because he is for the NWO and his plan is sort of bogus... The good of saving the nation from McCain almost outweighs the logical choice of voting for Chuck. So my choice is pending.. What do you think? and who r u voting 4?
kevowillis 3 years ago
I was thinking like that but Obama is so bad on gun control & abortion I'm not even confident that he's the lesser evil. I'm not confident that it's worth it so I'll be voting for who I think is best.
DaveIrie 3 years ago
I came across a very good point that was made by the new mayor of NYC yesterday on CNN.I already knew this but many ppl aren't taking this into serious consideration. He said something like, "Right now is not the time to choose the president with intention to fix abortion and other smaller problems. Our choices are intentionally limited and with that being said, we need to choose a leader that has the most effective solution to our current global financial crisis." Its more serious than ppl think
kevowillis 3 years ago
He didn't sound very confident when speaking about cannabis laws.
"Its a state issue" (should be left up to the states)....
I know its a touchy subject but to have no stance or plan on a needed legislation that would free billions of $ from the justice department/ unneeded anti-drug departments.?
Still following Ron Paul's endorsement but Chuck doesn't seem to have the attitude and leadership quality's that Dr. Paul possesses.
kevowillis 3 years ago
What's the problem. "It's a states issue" is the correct position. Let the various states work out their own laws regarding the herb. Chuck probably doesn't smoke dope, but he probably is aware that it is a very touchy and politically dangerous subject, as well as being a great source of oil and fiber!
Boscovius 3 years ago
Again, no, it's not normal to have no opinion on a law. Especially when running for President.
kevowillis 3 years ago
Oh, come on. With all the really important things we have to campain on, and you want to worry about one man's opinion of marijuana? I'd sure hope you wouldn't expect me to jump on out there and throw my body on a political grenade like marijuana. I don't expect chuck to do that either. That's probably why Ron Paul never said much about 9-11. He probably knows it was an inside job but saying so is political suicide. Pot politics ain't that much different.
Boscovius 3 years ago
Vote for Chuck Baldwin, a real Conservative hero !
AutoYorn1 3 years ago 3
Also we need to gain support in all of these other parties so they can gain ballot access in all 50 states.
TrueConservative123 3 years ago
it is too bad that all of the 3rd party candidates can't get together and come up with a single candidate who represents all of their core values. this division makes them easier to defeat.
normlsparky 3 years ago
That will not work because they differ alot on other issues such as illegal immigration, enviromental regulation and so forth. For example, the purpose of Ron Paul supporting the canidacy of the Independent, Libertairian, Constitution, and the Green Party is to take the focus off of the two major parties and let people know that they do have a real choice of canidates that have substance to there positions rather than voting for politics as usual.
TrueConservative123 3 years ago
if the 3rd party candidates can get enough support to be on the ballot, they should not be excluded from the debates. these 2 party debates really piss me off. it insults our collective intelligence to presume that americans can't make a decision if there are more than 2 choices.
normlsparky 3 years ago
great comment !
Its our country
quietstorm403 3 years ago
The solution is simple, just educate and inform as many Truth seeking Open Minded Americans as we can that they do have more and superior choices !
Once i found out about 3rd parties, thats all i needed to be convinced , i will Never vote lesser of 2 evils, it makes no sense when we all have such excellent choices out there !
Its great the diversity of thought and Opinions the various 3rd parties give us, we need that. What needs to change is how the 'avg' American approaches voting !
quietstorm403 3 years ago
So true, quietstorm, we need fourth parties, fifth parties, sixth, seventh... and then maybe there would be a real debate, instead of two liars stroking each other's rotten shriveled balls.

I agree with most of what you say, but "Religion" needs to be left off the platform. All this talk about "God sent us on a mission" Who's God? My God sure as hell doesn't want WAR and Murder....this country is full of a bunch of redneck, right-wing, nut jobs!!!

the Abortion issue I think is really small ,you Know I dont think President can just illegalize abortion ...most republicans are pro-life dont forget ..and abortions have not been bannished the last 8 years ...so ..whats abortion ..when we no longer have rights ? dont mean much its a very small issue as is his being a pastor.

Ron Paul had a better chance.
kellymkg 3 years ago
Yes of course he had a better chance than any of the others BUT you know the deal. So, we're not going to get everything we want from one person (and for some not even RP) but these current 3rd party candidates agree with the TOP issues that are not being addressed by the O'Cain. McBAMA whatever.
robotsworld1 3 years ago
Nader is known. Cynthia McKinney is known. MAYBE not to the masses because of the corporate owned media. BUT that should stop us from sending a message to the establishment. ALSO, I'm an independent. I get the deal with this charade WAR, BANKERS, etc.

lol i agree man. Truth is on a national Stage in a Debate Chuck would wipe the floor with a globalist Moderate Liberal Phony like Mccain
WE NEED BALDWIN AS OUR PRESIDENT ! He loves and respects the Constitution, its the easiest decision in the world, you gotta vote for CB
2connection 3 years ago
I agree with all of Ron Paul's messages that I have heard, but one thing I find disturbing is the anti-abortion platform...? They are for individual rights, but this is a big contrast.
kellymkg 3 years ago
How is that disturbing? They are respecting the individual rights of the baby. It doesn't disturb you that they are killing a baby? What if your mom, when she was pregnant with you, decided that giving birth to and raising you was going to be an "inconvenience"? Aren't you glad that your mom was thinking about you rather than herself? You're correct, Paul respects individual rights, including those of the unborn. Are you saying that unborn babies don't have any rights?
HumGuitar 3 years ago
I feel it should be a woman's decision. There are millions of abortions performed...what do you think we should do with all the unwanted babies?? Abortion is a moral issue not a political issue. Hence, leaving the moral obligation up to the individual.
kellymkg 3 years ago
That's the most ignorant argument I've ever heard. Using that argument, one could say that ANY murder, or rape, or child abuse, or assault, is a moral issue, not a political issue, and all of those laws against those acts are stupid because we should leave the moral obligation up to the individual. Those laws are based on "morals" also. If we don't have laws that protect people from violence, we have anarchy. What if someone else's morals are looser than yours and they think its OK to kill you?
HumGuitar 3 years ago
There are millions of people that would be happy to adopt those babies, rather than see them aborted. It costs a whole lot of money to adopt a child here in the USA. If my wife and I had the money, we would do that. If there were so many babies up for adoption in the USA, people would not have to go to China to adopt. If the people that are getting abortions didn't want to have a baby, they should not have been having sex without some kind of birth control or should not have sex at all.
HumGuitar 3 years ago
"leaving the moral obligation up to the individual" But why should I as a taxpayer pay for it. REASONS GIVEN FOR ABORTIONS: AGI SURVEY, 2000-2001: not using contraception...46.40%. COME ON!! I have to pay for someone cause they didn't want to be responsible. REASONS GIVEN FOR ABORTIONS: AGI SURVEY, 2004: For rape and incest: ~1% (for those who like to use this argument as thought it's the #1 reason)
robotsworld1 3 years ago
Oh but your ok with paying billions for an illegal war. Anyhow in my state, state funded abortions are non existent. We have the right to vote in our state representatives still so vote.
kellymkg 3 years ago
We were talking about Abortion. Where are you coming from with WAR?!! Did I say I was OK with paying billions for an illegal war? NO! As a matter of fact, I'M AGAINST this illegal WAR for your information. RELAX!
robotsworld1 3 years ago
Oh I am relaxed. You and your right-wing nut, pro-life nut-jobs, are going to be the end of the US! Just get over it, abortion will never be illegal. There are too many idiots who do not use protection, and do you actually want these people contributing more to the already messed up gene pool???
kellymkg 3 years ago
You don't come across as relaxed. Labeling me as if you know me. I didn't say I was PROLIFE. If you want a million abortions GO AHEAD pay for it yourself or go to Planned Parenthood (PP). PP is a nonprofit organization you're PROCHOICE, donate to help others get their abortions and an education on contraceptives. I was merely explaining why people might choose to be PROLIFE like Ron Paul or this Baldwin person it doesn't make them a NUT I was NOT judging their beliefs.
robotsworld1 3 years ago
I stand corrected, but I seriously think that abortion should not even be brought up at a presidential election. This was a huge reason (in my po dunk town) Many voted for Bush, because of his pro-life views...but the chimp can go and kill millions, nice. Be ashamed USA.
kellymkg 3 years ago
The only reason I see it addressed is because of Federal funding. BUT as a "moral" issue, I concur with you. That might be tricky since it's a "hot button" topic used to persuade the Sheeple and extremists on both ends. TO make it looks like there's really a difference. You saw the debates, maybe. THEY asked the most dumbass questions. I was so sick. RP handled himself like the champ that he is.
robotsworld1 3 years ago
Yes, I watched some of the debates. I have chosen to "tune out" of the cable. I have no desire to allow my children to become brainwashed by them. They get enough, in the public school they go to, where about 95% are Right wing Bush supporters. Of course there teachers are not, but it is sickening, in this day and age to allow, creationism in school. When I was in school (years ago lol)we were taught evolution, and a very brief discussion on this. So many arguments happened with the class!!
kellymkg 3 years ago
Personally, I don't understand why people become so upset at the idea of Evolution as we know it today. "We didn't come from monkeys." That's not even the theory. They don't understand that we can't evolve with something that coexists with you.
robotsworld1 3 years ago
lol my high school is 95% al gore/obama worshiping idiots, but then again, im in southern California so I guess its not a surprise, the sad thing is, nearly no one knows anything about people like barr, balwin , or even ron paul, and the teachers here definitely try to enforce there liberal ideas on kids, even when I agree with them its rather sickening, for teachers to do that in school.
spawk1993 3 years ago 4
I agree they need to just keep there pie holes shut about politics in school. It is the dumbing down of America. Media, religion, and the US government, love the masses to be dumb. Easier to control!
kellymkg 3 years ago

EastWindRain 3 years ago 2
Everyone go and join Ron Paul's campaign for liberty, to elect Libertarians into Congress.
THAT is the real issue. None of these small candidates will ever become President.
If you can elect true people into Congress, then all these phoney war bills etc will NOT be signed in.
America has had it so good for so long that the general public has never considered running for office or getting involved in Congress. Now is the time to do exactly that. All of Congress is bought and paid for.
LiquidMetalBand 3 years ago
Exactly LiquidMetalBand. Entirely too much emphasis is placed on the Presidency. Senators and Congressmen are where "change" will be enacted. A single Senator can make a big difference and ten or twenty Congressmen can make a difference.

Okay did you know that Bob Barr is a former C.I.A. agent and corgis man with a crappy voting rector such as, voting for the USA Patriot act and the War in Iraq. So why do you trust Bob Barr if he was in the C.I.A. and a voting record like that?
Magicguy15 3 years ago
i know all of that .. but you know that some people see the light and change. i think he has..why else would he go to the libertarian party who have never got any votes or exposure
vote bob barr

If I kill sum one will you trust me for say...... A president? Bob Barr may have change but then hagen we don't know that. Bob Barr is a former C.I.A. Agent he could still be working for them. Bob Barr has not shone me and allot of people that he can be trusted for a Libertarian president. Why should eny one trust him if he voted for the War and the Patriot act?
Magicguy15 3 years ago
oh,, he "saw the light". you can't be serious. barr is just an opportunist who has hijacked the libertarian party and now is trying to hijack the ron paul movement. he has done way too much in his political career to help the neocons steal away our freedoms, to be forgiven so easily. and he still isn't right on the issues even now. his "fair tax" will be no better than the income tax. this is "smoke and mirrors". beware !
nonrepublicrat 3 years ago 3
Because he was on the teat of the GOP and told them to fuck off it was wrong.
While you may disagree with the Patriot Act(I do,) Barr was one of reasons it had a sunset clause...which is his saving grace in my book.
