It's a line from chapter 1 of Moby Dick, and refers to Ishmael's growing contempt of society and feelings of ill will that drive him back to sea, a place he loves.

So her explanation of the test chamber, she passes off as "sorry I don't have time to explain things to reprehensible test subjects, I have to get back to something I'd rather be doing".

Well, as much fun as it would be to speculate about the deeper meanings and allusions regarding the history of Aperture Science (Cave Johnson/Caroline OTP), this strikes me as something the devs pulled out of thin air, and just cryptic enough to make the fans think it's somehow meaningful.
