You may say I'm crazy but your crazy for thinking you weren't lied to about 911, Bin Laden, Sudam Hussain, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Oil. If you really dig down deep your rational mind will connect all the lies exposing the motivation behind the lies is what miost americans don't want to face.

He says that the constitution allows for suspension of Habeas Corpus when the public safety may require it.

Some Presidents that suspended habeas corpus are Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S Grant.

Too many people are uninformed about the history of this country and rely on, I don't know what to call these buffoons, that either don't know any history or blatantly lie to the American public.

Lincoln suspended it in response to a CIVIL WAR! How else could American POW's be taken into custody, on American land? There is no civil war here, just an illegal war in Iraq, and a fake war on terror.

What joje fails to mention is how Habeas was also suspended under FDR. This is what allowed the Japanese-Americans to be forcefully and against their will placed into internment camps. These were citizens JUST LIKE US and they were detained because of the suspension of habeas corpus!!

So you agree Habeas Corpus can be suspended. Anyone who attacks our military and is, or is not a citizen, would not and should not be granted the Constitutional rights of a country that they have declared WAR against.

You can't argue that it can't be suspended, it says that it can in the Constitution... It also specifically says that it is ONLY to be suspended if we are in the midst of a civil war, or being invaded. We aren't, it's that simple and therefore should not be suspended. How long has it been? Seven years?

It doesn't even say that Habeas is suspended, just that it's gone, so it may not ever come back.

Terrorists who are guilty of, well terrorism, do not really apply to this. If they are guilty, we should have obvious evidence of this, and if they are guilty than these rights and the Constitution will not save them. No one is arguing that terrorists should be protected, but because if they are doing these things we should easily be able to punish and stop them without taking Habeas away from everyone else. All this does is threaten innocent peoples' rights, with no evidence of their guilt.

This act in fact celebrates the fall of Liberty, Freedom and Justice in the US. Congress should stand up against it vigourously! Let's us hope that reason and fairness can prevail in the next US president (is there going to be one?) to counteract this complete absurd. This country is getting closer and closer to become a despotic Empire. What a republican can do! Shame on you republicans!

Even if the bill was possible within the american legal system it was still ikllegal within international law. It's quite strange thate a country who claims to want to spread democracy, to offend in a real law one of the most basic human rights.

The bill supersedes the law, even the supreme court can't intervene, section 950j of the military commissions act says that. It creates a new international standard where the president can have his own interpretations of the geneva conventions. Its totally ridiculous that this actually happened to america. Ron Paul has introduced legislation abolishing the military commissions act. Go look it up: HR 3835!
