A script requires TONS of thinking - i'd like to see you try and imagine being a director - think of all the stuff you have to consider before even starting a film. The basic plot, narration, the characters and the characterisation, the timing, etc etc - basically every single thing need to be considered
cont- you think that takes a day or 2 to work out? It takes ages to sort those out, plus finance, location, costumes, sets, etc etc. You think these take a week or 2 to work out? Plus a good script in NOT written keeping an actor in mind. A good director writes a script and THEN figures out which actor suits best for that particular character. Its not exactly Surya's fault if the directors script films that suit him.

Vijay and Ajith used to be big back then with their masala movies. but now it has all changed. we're looking for different movies with unique storyline and not the same old cliches. Vikram knew about this so he started acting in movies with different storylines that will praise his performance NOT his action. Surya had done this as well with Raktha Charitra, and Ayan. All in all, the top actors in the Tamil Industry PERFORMANCE-WISE in order are Kamal->Rajini->Vikram->Surya and then the rest.

i dont get your silly mentalities. An actor doesnt go around knocking on directors doors waiting for scripts. Do you know ANYTHING about the process of making films? i guess not. A script requires TONS of thinking - i'd like to see you try and imagine being a director - think of all the stuff you have to consider before even starting a film. The basic plot, narration, the characters and the characterisation, the timing, etc etc - basically every single thing need to be considered

cont- you think that takes a day or 2 to work out? It takes ages to sort those out, plus finance, location, costumes, sets, etc etc. You think these take a week or 2 to work out? Plus a good script in NOT written keeping an actor in mind. A good director writes a script and THEN figures out which actor suits best for that particular character. Its not exactly Surya's fault if the directors script films that suit him.
