Robert Gardner was an a anthropology professor at Harvard and (more importantly ) an independent documentary filmmaker. Screening Room featured independent filmmakers only. It aired on WCVB-5 in Boston in the mid 70s-early 80s.It was broadcast on Mondays at 12:00am , or, later due to ABC Monday Night Football I watched most of the episodes when they originally aired! Screening Room was a huge influence in my life. The DVDs are highly recommended, but missing the original theme.
