This song is not about losing something tangible. You can't ask WHERE ARE YOU Christmas like you would a child. Also, this is MY interpretation; maybe someone else "hears" the song differently. I see it as someone who seems to have lost the fascination with Christmas and then Christmas finally PAH! Hits them in the heart! Please remember this is an interpretation, not simply signing the words to a song, which is not ASL, but English. Does this help you a bit?
I am so in LOVE with the way you are in the 'zone' when you sign. I work with deaf and deaf-blind teaching them to use computers and am desperately trying to pick up as much ASL as I can... I hope I can learn to do it as beautifully as you. Help!!!! :)
