@jdrummys Calling me a "dumbass" is uncalled for. I've been playing Bass for almost 40 years and am quite familiar with quality drumming. I realize that the drumming is different than the original. No good musician should copy the original for a live performance IMO. In my opinion the drummer is not overplaying so it's your OPINION, vs mine. I still say the board mix is terrible and the sound man sucks.
No matter what a person's musical preference is there is no denying that Fergie has a good voice, she doesn't put out music that i particularly enjoy listening to but i do respect the fact that she has talent.

Look up early live performances of BEP and you'll see just how bad that whole bunch is. Every single one of them sings off pitch...it's not a wonder they cranked up the autotuners on recent recordings like "i gotta feeling".
Well it's not the best performance ever, and that little tid bit of "welcome to the jungle" at the end could have definitely been left out, but I don't think it's as bad as some of you people are saying. Yeah Fergies voice is a little ridged at times, but she has sold a "shit ton" of records so what can you say to that. Not a damn thing.

no talent ass clown. she tries to draw the attention away from her crappy voice by grinding her skanky ass all over the place. her voice has no power, taylor swift might as well have been on stage,who is btw another crappy performer. the drummer is obviously starved of attention, pretty much playing a solo for the whole song. just stay in the pocket, asshole, that'll get you a real gig!!

I don't think the drummer is trying to get attention, he is simply showing off, and that's good, I mean, if he's on stage, he's gotta take advantage of it. As for the band, I don't think they are bad, but the sound is really bad, so we gotta blame it on the sound engineer or maybe it happened when they uploaded the video here on youtube. As for Fergie, I think she is a good r&b and pop singer, the problem is that rock doesn't fit her. Her voice is too bright, to melow for this genre.

Sorry NJGUY, while it might be creditably performed, it ain't Heart. She doesn't give it anything additional to make it better (like Jimi did for All Along The Watchtower). I am not saying she sux or isn't hot... but Ann and Nancy did it better.

If you wanted to hear this song like Heart does it... GO LISTEN TO HEART! Each version of this song by different vocalists has its OWN UNIQUENESS. She did NOT go on the live show with the the thought " I'm going to imitate Ann Wilson"..shes her own performer and a great one at that, as is Ann Wilson... know what ur talking about before u post!

yep. I watched another performance then looked for others to see, and sure enough, fergie sings way out of tune all over the place for this song.
Look up early live performances of BEP and you'll see just how bad that whole bunch is. Every single one of them sings off pitch...it's not a wonder they cranked up the autotuners on recent recordings like "i gotta feeling".

Well it's not the best performance ever, and that little tid bit of "welcome to the jungle" at the end could have definitely been left out, but I don't think it's as bad as some of you people are saying. Yeah Fergies voice is a little ridged at times, but she has sold a "shit ton" of records so what can you say to that. Not a damn thing.
