  • Hey there, my husband and I are just starting the process of adopting from Korea. There are many countries with children available, but Korea is the best choice for us for many reasons. I am wondering from you, if our adoption is successful, what advice - as an adoptee - can you give us to make our child happy about who he/she is? The agency has told us we should talk about our child's birth parents/Korea/adoption often in a positive way. Well, I'm running out of space...so, Thanks!

  • your very handsome!! do u see

yourself marrying an caucasian woman? I would love to hear the rest of your story and if you can locate your boi parents.

  • o.0

  • why thank you =).

i am not against marrying a caucasian woman, but i am currently dating a korean whom i am very happy with =D.

  • are you a female caucasian?

  • yup!

  • The trip got canceled? I hope you get to go soon!

  • okay wow, my brothers don't know how to log out of shit, fuck them.

  • 312bryanst is going to steal you away from me! hahahahaha

  • 9 days?! Are you crazy?! You might as well just throw your money & time away. If you're going to go...do it after you graduate and well planned w/plenty of time. 9 days is not enough time to get your body adjust to the initial time change, food, & the culture shock. Might as well enjoy the visit w/plenty of time, instead of having to worry about not having enough time. Things will come up that are not in your plans. Those moments are the best. Well, whatever you decide...Good Luck & Have Fun!!!!

  • btw, i think your totally cute. you're probably a lot younger than me. but still, your cute. i say this as a korean-american female. ;)

  • Almost every Korean-American I know has done the program. It's sort of a rite of passage.I knew several people who did it the summer after they graduated from college. The program brings together over 1000 young people of Korean decent from all over the world: US, Japan, Germany...etc. I would highly recommend it.

  • i just realized i never said thank you for this. =)

  • Hi, I'm a Korean-American who was born and raised in Los Angeles in a predominately Korean suburb. Even so, each of the three times I've been to Korea has been a huge culture shock for me. I would highly suggest spending more time, not less in Korea. You might want to consider doing a summer study abroad at Yonsei University either through DIEE or their korean language school.

  • hmm. 9 days.

9 days is slightly short to spend time in kore

i would visit seoul like everyone says...but i would also visit busan.=get to the Gates to see the lovers locks(look it up...its awesome) and possibly the big buddha around busan. i have a photo of it, its awesome heh.

i mean, dont NOT go. what you can get is what you can get. quite frankly if you needed longer time and its because of school, "study abroad".

thats how im getting to go from picking up the language so quick.

    ttyl♥

  • 9 days... hmm if u r have good stamina then u'd probz go to most of important places in Seoul

still, in my opinion, u should take at least 2 weeks just to go to other cities than just Seoul but 9 days is better than not going! =]

When are you planning to go to Korea then?

coz I'm going to Korea this July too

If you need any help contact me lol

it'll be my pleasure to show u around in Seoul at least!

  • You should definately go to Korea. Any length of time is better than none. You can make a second trip when your done with college. Good luck with your journey and thanks for sharing your experience. It takes a lot of courage to put your self out there.
