Can't believe i spent 99 dollars Canadian in 1994 at a microplay for this game, and it sucked balls. kept the jag for three months, then found a sucker who paid me hondsomely for the jaguar itself. good riddance.
i remember i sold my snes for 130$ so i could buy games for my jaguar i got rayman and white men cant jump both games117$ and when i got home ran upstairs pop in rayman and hit the power and my jaguar started smoking n blew up ( I WAS SO FUCKING MAD!!!!!)
finally years after i see this game. the megadrive version was great for that machine. this looks graphically better and smoother and faster.i own this gamea nd have for years but never managed to buy a jaguar. i wouldnt pay more than £15 for a console inc postage. and thats the problem ehHEH HEH
To say the real truth, The Jaguar version is noted for having considerably more frames of animation than the Super Nintendo and Genesis versions without running any slower, resulting in a much smoother and graphically impressive game
Yeah, I think I'll skip Enter the Dragon though. I'm not much of a Bruce Lee fan plus I've heard that both games are bad but that Kasumi Ninja is at least entertaining in some ways. Looking at the vids, KN does look much better.
Also, I now have Kasumi Ninja and yeah, it's pretty terrible but it's worth a play every now and again just for the stupidity of it. Still haven't played Dragon but if I find it cheap enough I'll get it.
Hmm... Those games both came out a long time after "Dragon". Maybe the teamtap wasn't out yet, and the people behind Dragon didn't know that Atari was making one?
Seb - Aren't the SNES "movie sequences" just grainy still shots from the film?
The "64-bit" part of Jaguar's fame refers to its graphics bus width, not to the CPU. The CPU was a 68000, which exposed a 16-bit wide data bus. It ran (more or less) around 14MHz if memory serves me correctly. It's an augmented Atari ST, in essence.
That being said, I've seen SNES games handle 4-players (and hacked C64 games too) with a much slower clock speed (65816 CPU, 8-bit data bus). So, Seb25750, don't tell me the Jaguar can't handle 4 players. :)
@hoser4 stop talking about things you don't know... what about Tom and Jerry processor ? in fact the 68000 was only here has a controler not as a processor itself !
Oh yeah, this is MUCH smoother than the SNES version. Great audio and scrolling, too. Only thing lacking is that the game itself doesn't look like much fun!
Holy shit this game brings back so many memories. This and alien VS. predator were 2 rare games i'd play at an old friends house when i was 6 and 7. thanks for posting!
no worries. i have much love for a system that I had hours upon hours of fun with that I feel gets a really bad name. Mostly from Nintendo, Sega and Sony fanboys who never even played the thing I might add.
I agree with you. It's not a terrible game and it's better than the SNES and Genesis versions because it has no slow-motion and better graphics and sound. The 16-bit versions however, have still movie sequences that this version doesen't have. I guess Atari didn't want to actually promote the movie. I think the main problem with this game is Bruce Lee doesen't have a reach worth a damn. He has to stand too close to the oppenents to get a hit in. Jags controller isn't too handy in this one either.
Be water, my friend.

This is the best version of the game you can get !!! Much better than the snes and mega drive versions.

The best thing about this game was the Bruce Lee screams that were taken from Enter the Dragon.
However saying that its not as bad as people make out. it was a decent game and probably the best game to use Bruce's image.

This game doesn't look to good. Anyone, which is better, this or Kasumi Ninja?
CLeRKSfan4life 2 years ago
@CLeRKSfan4life It does actually look better than its SNES counterpart.
I like Kasumi more, though.
viMasterJag 2 years ago
Nah, I mean overall the game looks rubbish. The graphics look good but the game looks crap.
CLeRKSfan4life 2 years ago
Kasumi Ninja is rot awful.
joeottoson 2 years ago
I never said it was. I was saying Enter The Dragon looks rubbish. I'm actually planning on buying Kasumi Ninja when I find it cheap enough.
CLeRKSfan4life 2 years ago
I'm just saying, Kasumi Ninja is a terrible, terrible, extremely bad game. Bad controls, no AI; you can just jump kick everyone to death etc.
Dragon's better mainly because Kasumi Ninja's the worst fighting game of all time.

Sounds like a really bad video game.
Can you tell me where to find this game called, "jaguar?"
viMasterJag 2 years ago 3
No 3 player battle mode in the jaguar version, 3 player mode : too hard for the powerful 32/64 bits Jaguar ! or no multitap from Atari, what a shame !
The Snes version has every thing, quite the same sound quality as the Jaguar version but with movie sequences and 3 player battle mode.
Jaguar version is only better than 16 bits versions in the graphics department and in some digits voices like Bruce's scream.
Seb25750 2 years ago
Too hard for the 64 bit Jaguar?
White Men Can't Jump & NBA Jam: TE both support 4 players with the teamtap.

Sorry for my mistake, there is a teamtap for the Jaguar.
In my opinion Dragon is the best video game based on Bruce Lee and certainly one of the best fighting games on Jaguar, i like it.
Seb25750 2 years ago
i own a mutitap for the jaguar lol, they do exist but i don't think many games supported it

I just went and checked out the SNES version and you're right, this version has much smoother animation.
Even if they didn't break any new ground with the game, at least they had more storage room to add more frames of animation.
