@arsenio4100 YEAH because JEET KUNE DO is a mix of WING CHUN, BOXING, KALI and GRAPPLING. Jeet Kune Do has evolved now to modern boxing. Boxing drills is a MUST HAVE in REAL JKD...90 percent of JKD out there is fake. I do JKD Concepts...which is the same thing as the original JKD except we have ADDED arts to it. We added more boxing, jujitsu, some MANTIS with Muay Thai...depends on the teacher. My teacher teaches EVERYTHING that is useful...discarding what is useless (^_^) the way it should be

@JKDConcepts89 What I was told where I learn JKD is boxing isn't really a fundamental part of real JKD, but a tool to develop hand movement, muscle memory, reflex, and foot work. Also that they added it because people wouldn't be able to stop kick and work like Bruce Lee. But I'm not saying I'm right I'm just saying that I think with JKD It's what you make of it. It's a combination of many arts and you use what works for you, and that's what real JKD is. It's not a definitive art.

anche se tanti vedo che scrivono che è boxe la cosa è totalmente diversa..ho praticato entrambi gli sport..però devo dire che come difesa personale il jkd è nettamente superiore alla boxe..cmq questi colpi sono un misto tra la boxe e jkd...visto che il jkd usa moltissime tecniche anche della boxe ..ciao

Bruce Lee incorpored some boxing in JKD and he really liked training with boxing gloves & focus mitts.He also fight in BOXING with Gary Elms (3 times champion) and win against him They illustrated this also in his last biographycal movie BRUCE LEE THE LEGEND. I put this clip on youtube. :)

as far as i remember i've seen a COPY of a letter on mrinellos homepage where it says he's allowed to teach under taky that is not the same like being a full certified instructor. He claims that linda lee herself asked him to promote JKD in Italy which isn't true at all he has no affiliation to the BLF or the Lee family

Yes! Bruce Lee incorpored 12 punches from boxing (left/right, medium & high). 2 kind of uppercuts, 4 kind of straight punch, 6 kind of hooks. Who studied Jun Fan Gung Fu (the base from JKD, know all these punches), but I see there are many who really dont know what Bruce Lee really taken from boxing...
