The scarab is a studied down version of the scar. If you didn't notice, they use the same type of ammo.

Scarab could be the best in both single and multiplayer if it could mount an assault scope too but it cant so...its not. Actually this game is pretty balanced, not fully balanced, but balanced. It all depends on players' style.

its pretty good but the gun i found in hargreaves room is sooo much better its a turret like gun with almost max mobility and has 500 rounds no reload it took out two of those bulldozer aliens without me even havin to use c4 or a bazooka
