First off all the brits are doing an excellent job in afghan , they retain the respect of military forces around the world as a Tough, resilient, proffesional, highly trained fighting force, Are records speaks for itself so do some history research on how we trained foreign forces . Are Royal marine commandos, parachute regiment , SBS , SRR and SAS are second to none compared to elite forces .

They've been brilliant, there trained just aswell, and there just as good. Sure, there weekend soldiers, but there great at it. So what if they tab in Goretex? lol who said t.a is nothing like regular. It's the exact same training. I'm in 4mercian C company, Mansfield regiment. I understand with regular there is a lot more training involved as to be expected, but do not under estimate the T.A. Being volunteers makes them no different to a regular trained soldier. We go through the same basic training. Depending on what part of the T.A you join. I wouldn't advise Signals.
