  • Underground shit is awesome! too bad they didnt release this on album. How can i get this on a cd ?????

  • ya royce is dope dont get me wrong but i like nate dogg killed the hook. that xxplosive is my fav dre song . this is a dope song too. just sayin i have been hooked to the chronic 2001 the only cd i was able to play thru n not skip a track. that shit kills any shit put out now

    peace

  • verses on this are better, but nate dogg was a much better choice for the hook.

  • Bag Lady? Xxplosive? This beat is originally off of "Bumpy's Lament" by Issac Hayes. Dre uses the original artists not only because to get them to work for their money but to better manipulate the song without peaking and tweaking the pitch of the original song.

  • I think if they left this version on the album Royce would have never been underrated and overlooked until now.

  • the bass is taken from mobb deep

  • Some songs just get redone once dre does something. This song wouldn't of fit in with th other tracks of on 2001 or the flow that dre wanted to take it so he scaped the vocals and had different artist rap for it, or sometimes he even has more then one version of a song and it just comes down to picking which one he likes better.

  • it doesn't matter if is this song or xxplosive. this beat is so fucking hot

  • Who the hell is dissin this beat! Kanye said that this song made him want to produce songs.

  • Dre is hardy repetitive? Scott storch only does Arab beats, now that shit is repetition

  • @almazonly notice how nobody gave u any thumbs up?....its a reason -_-

  • all those comments up there ^^^ shut the fuck up who cares just listen to the dam song and dont comment shit.

  • 2001 should of had this as a bonus track extra or something. way too raw.

  • Look this wasn't scrapped cus of the fallout...Because on 2001, there was the track "the Message" which was also written by royce...this song was just cut like some songs are off of albums, business is business this has nothing to do with that fallout between Royce and em or Dre and Royce

  • @DollaMayne303 but royce wasn't rapping on that song, in fact royce even complained that he hadn't even been paid for that song

  • I'm glad this wasn't on the chronic.

  • @MrSebman13 fuck you

  • Comment removed

  • @patrickemond97 What are you talking about this clearly didn't need to be on the Chronic. It wasn't rly good enough the album version was way better.

  • Dre scrapped the original Bad Vs Evil project along with this track & a few more that Royce had penned for the album. Be sure to cop Bad Vs Evil on June 14th... Shady n Royce bringin back that real rap, leave the bubblegum for the bitches!

  • @MrDonJuanMarco the new bad meets evil will probably suck

  • @siwooot STFU, the new album fucking rules!!!

  • @siwooot Bad Meets Evil fucking RULES!!!

  • @MrDonJuanMarco hell yea rap has been going to hell lately with auto tune and repeating the chorus i.e.solja boys gay ass and lil wayne is just gay that does not fit in the game

  • Comment removed

  • @siwooot i heard royce's manager told the press he was writing for dre and dre asked him to fire him as a result and royce refused

  • @YoungWolve1 The reason this was dropped was becuz Royce refused to drop his manager to work with Dre, so Dre cut ties with Royce... soft..

  • erykah badu - bag lady

  • RIP to Nate Dogg - weird thing is, if it wasn't for Royce getting booted from Shady's camp, this would probably have been the album version and Nate Dogg's best verse ever would never have been made

  • It's pretty good but the final product had a better overall sound. Royce wrote all of this and the raps are pretty good. Dre dropped it from 2001 because of Royce's beef with D12 and Eminem. Royce sounds good but I miss Kurupt's awesome verse.

  • the lyrics are def better but you can tell it wasnt finished but its vetter still

  • anyone got the instrumental and could upload it?

  • This kicks ass!!!

  • almost better than the original

  • @andy6908 .. almost ?

  • @andy6908 I think it is better that the original.

  • @andy6908 this was the original i think g. it got scrapped when dre and royce fell out

  • You say Justin Bieber-I say Tupac You say Lil Wayne-I say Biggie Smalls You say Drake-I say Ice Cube You say Soulja Boy-I say Big Pun You say Gucci Mane-I say Rakim You say New school-i say shut the fuck up You say Pop-I scream Hip Hop! You say Hannah Montana-i fucking punch you in the face 92% of tenagers have turned to New school and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.Don't let the real hip hop die!

  • @MrEvilbee100 word

  • Does anybody know, where i find the version of this song with kurupt and hittmann?

  • @crackel17 lol its Xxplosive

  • Best

  • They played this on Power 106 one day like a couple of months ago.

  • You Forgot TLC has this beat too!

  • You can hear Royce's swagger throughout Dre's verse...

  • i remember hearing about this on a dvd.

  • really? what was the dvd?

  • does anyone know the Royce da 5'9 version? i forgot the name

  • THIS SONG IS THE SHIT!! but look at that wack quality is not even the real vid??

  • LMAO thats because there is no real vid, they never shot a video for this song. but yeah i agree the quality is shit because back when i made this i didn't give a shit about the quality.

  • he was legend!

  • @theycallmejonathan there is no past version of legend

  • Thank you for setting it straight for all these young guys who are just hearing lyrics trapped on the music sheet and not realizing that growth is possible in entertainment..Hopefully Detox will set new guide lines. No matter. Of course Dr.Dre being the Genius that he is and Light house has already set a new standard.

  • I think he's really changed from a pimp. Everytime u see him he has his wedding ring on..That's fantastic and way better than pimping. I mean pimping is weak, can't respect a man who takes advantage of a brocken women that person is lazy and will inherit the earth with all his jewels.. Hope Detox has more 2 say than pretox.

  • @shelleybparsons

look pimpin'.... its the streets u have to make money... it isnt weak....

  • I can understand survival but after awhile you have to find another way..Right..It gets old.

  • til i die im still reppin that bitches aint shiiit

  • Awe. well U look really young to have experienced enough women. But I hope one day you change your mind.:) And find at-least one that will make you feel differently. That is my wish for u. :) But everyone is entitled to their opinion. even me.

  • i dont really feel that way ha, you have to understand its the internet, the only place i can be rude and get away with it, i love women to the fullest extent :)

  • Gosh nice to know...:)

  • @shelleybparsons lol your soo gay.

  • Believe me Gay i am not. but you seem to be obsessed with the word..is this your second time calling me that.?/lol U like me..admit it.

  • your obviously delousinal and just got his fuck from a girl when she was drunk as hell and throwing up. your pussy whipped and you sound like a cocksucker. so just go kill yourself shelly, everyone knows your just a pathetic little faggot whos never fucked a girl that was conscious at the time.

  • Lol I love you......

  • The only reason Xxplosive stands out better than this track well two is because Xxplosive got moderate radio play (wonder how when kurupt splurs profanity all over the track) and Nate Dogg's chorus.. other than this track is better.. i can also tell that Dre didn't finish mastering this track.. it sounds horrible than xxplosive.. but dumb down kurupts profanity (keep him in the track) but incorporate "lyrics" along with maybe an intro/hook from Royce and keep Dre's lyrics= **** track!

  • the beat is also sick, i think the beat is also a big reason but mostly Nate Doggs hook

  • But i do have to admit that Dre's parts are nice, but Royce doesn't fit on this song. (at least that's my opninion)

    Yii

  • he fits into it cuz he wrote it man haha..he wrote the whole song

  • dope joint

  • does anyone know were to find the mp3 for this song

  • Comment removed

  • man i like this one better

  • @bblvdOG wtf?

    nates part kills dis track

  • @bblvdOG Heresy!

  • Xxplosive's vocals are as rhythmic as the beat. On this one they seem kind of off.

  • sounds like eminem wrote dr. dre's second verse. notice how pretty much every line on the last verse is multisyllabic. now who does that sound like?

  • Royce Da 5'9" writes with multi syllables.

  • does anyone know the one with akon on the chorus

  • haha nice reverse psychology, writing dontclickmyprofile makes people want to click on your profile,

  • nate dogg u mean? and thats called xxplosive

  • royce and Em have similar styles. its like HiphopDx said, its obvious they were cut from the same cloth

  • Eminem is the only rapper in history to write in multisyllables.

    The only rapper.

  • hahaha ok

  • wtf? i like eminem but what the hell are you talking about. rakim? bdk? kool g rap? they invented that shit and nowadays they are killing that shit. they are way better at it than em im sorry. still an em fan tho

  • you must be sarcastic,

  • you are an idiot

EZ E is the only one who doesnt

  • royce and em's styles are kinda similar but they both use multi's

  • Hahaha...I was being sarcastic.

  • I'm glad that they didn't put this one out. Royce's hook was whack. It just didn't flow with the beat. The verses weren't that great. Nate Dogg and Kurupt put it down hardcore.

  • I actually like this version better than exxplosive. Prolly cuz Royce wrote the lyrics. He's one of the sickest emcees out right now.

  • he is going to sign to shady records. and their is a possibilty royce will be on relapse 2

  • it wasnt taken off becuase of D12's beef with Royce, it was bcus Dre told Royce to fire his manager and Royce refused. D12's beef came a few years after this

  • Xxplosive is way better.

  • TRUE

  • This is no remix, it's a premix, ni gga!

  • i beeeeeeeeen wondering where this beat came from since i heard the H-Town Hard Hitters wreck this shit

  • it aint a hit till nate dog sings on it

  • damn i wasnt knowin about thiz thiz knocks though

  • so this is the real og version? very first one? i really dont want them gay remix's all over youtube..

  • yeah although there's another very rare one that was gonna be on King Tee's aftermath album in 1998 called The Future.

  • ok i just wanted to make sure..thanks for the knowledge

    peace!

  • Where the real one he put on the album i cant find it for shit...

  • yeah me neither, just lame mix's

  • this is the original version

  • damn really you can't find the version that was on the album? i guess they took it down, i've noticed interscope will no longer let any upload any of dre's stuff now, i guess thats why this vid suddenly has a lot more views lol.

  • xxplosive the orginal version? Are you serious? I have both of the versions, thank god. haha

  • Yeah, it was one of those songs i smoke and chill too. This a good upload too tho bro.

  • Are you serious?! This is Dre at his finest, and he obviously wasn't even trying on this or the other. If he put out 2 versions of Xplosive

  • on a second tought, this shit is kinda tight, grows on you

  • Thank you,

  • not a compliment to you

  • i never said it was.

  • thats good, just how i like it

  • the thing i don't like about the other Xxplosive is that Dre wasn't on it, on this one the track is dre, i wish Royce was signed with aftermath

  • THIS IS AS GOOD AS FUCKIN XPLOSIVE DAM !

cant believe i havent heared this b4

  • Yeah mayne i heared it too

  • I LOVE THIS NIGGAAAAA

  • I Kinda Dig the Hook But I Ain't Feelin Dre's

Lyrics It Doesn't Sound Like Him At All that's

maybe cause he didn't Wrote them him self I'm Just glad he didn't put this version on the album the album version is just way superior!!!

  • nah Royce Da 5'9" wrote it.

  • his name isn't Jay Carter

  • there is an old school song to this beat. Anyone know the artist and title? its a old school RnB song.

  • was it some issac hayes song?

  • Erykah Badu's "Bag Lady" uses the same guitar riff, but it was released 2000.

  • i got the xxplosive-version with nate dogg. is that the original song or not ?

anyway: this song here is good too...

  • this beat was originally used for a song called "The Future" by King Tee. aftermath never released that album and that song is still unreleased, then they made this song but royces manager was saying shit about eminem and royce didn't dismiss his manager, so they kicked royce off the 2001 album. so yeah this version was made before the version with nate dogg.

  • how do you know all this?

  • i read the stuff about royce on the net so i don't know how true it is.

  • good shit.Much better than Xplosive with Hitman,Six Two and fucking Nate Dogg

  • wtf are you talking about?

  • My lifes in a fastlane

thats when i knew i had game

    class came

i had hoes but didn't know their last name

    CLASSIC !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's funny to hear Royce playing the Nate Dogg role. Actually this wasn't the original version of this track. The original version had King Tee rapping on it. By the way, if anyone has "Stay in Your Place" [another Dr Dre and Royce Da 5'9" collabo], I would be interested in hearing it again!
