  • Faisal please do some more lessons on to play differant rythms

  • i have a hard time hitting the doum and the wrim shot at the same time. i cant get that high pitched sounds from the wrim shot when my hand is on the skin so i cant hit both simultaneously. does anyone know what i could change?

  • @iNsaNeNic : Check if the skinne is tuned properly, if it's too tight or too soft, the "ka"s will be muted. you also have to play the ka strong enough and the doum, which is important, on the right spot of the skin. the environment you play also matters, in a small room or against a wall, you can actually feel how the air "refuses" to sound. the ka can be played simultaneously with the doum or, like some strokes in the video above, very shortly after the doum. hope it helps!

  • you're very talented and very humble, sir. Salam from Miami, Fl!!

  • Amazing sound, amazing technique, a true inspiration!

  • explain me how to sucess to play withe two hands the maksum and malfouf rythm to make doum and tak.Can you husk more for me please.Choukran jazilan

  • If you are able to lay maqsoum with hand, just try to strike the Ka with the Dum only just as a start. This will give you a little bit of a feeling of the left hand striking at the same time with right.

This is just a simple thing to start with.
